New Driver announcement, covid has thrown another spanner in the works with Auckland in level 3 and one of our drivers is stuck at home. So we have enlisted the current NZ BMW endurance Champion (Glen Chappel) to co drive with Glenn Smith in the Mclaren 650S GT3 for the highlands round of the South Island endurance champs.
Glen can normally be seen racing his 65 GT Mustang in the Northern Muscle class and his well known Bmw 150Diesel in the NIERDC Series. So it was down to Manfeild today to get some handy seat time and familiarise himself with 650S
Cockpit layout. We ran both cars with both Glen’s getting some good times after a long lay off since last competitive
Drives, and know ready to head south next week for 1st round of SIERDC series at Cromwell
