What a day of incredible music!
One of the standout moments, echoed time and again in the feedback we received, was the remarkable presence of Jimi Kara. He has an effortless way of walking into a room, seemingly unaware of the powerful energy he brings. The moment he takes the stage and those magic fingers meet the guitar, everyone is captivated.
Musicians and audience members alike were transfixed, watching every note, every movement, every moment. That level of respect and attention is earned through years of dedication, passion, and a lifelong commitment to refining the extraordinary gift he was born with.
Jimi Kara is not only a master guitarist but also one of the most humble and genuine people you’ll meet. He is a true treasure of New Zealand music, and we salute him.
Thank you, Jimi, for supporting the Manukau Cruising Club and for so generously sharing your incredible talent with us. It was also a privilege to welcome Jimi’s mum, dad, and partner to the event. What a beautiful family and a truly special group of people.
We are incredibly grateful and honoured to have shared such a memorable day with you all.

🎶 What an incredible day at the Manukau Cruising Club’s Rockin’ the Sixties Fundraiser! 🎶
Music has an amazing way of bringing people together, and today was a beautiful reminder that it truly transcends all barriers.
From our outstanding lineup of talented musicians to the wonderful crowd who filled the club with smiles, laughter, dancing, and an unforgettable atmosphere—you made the day something truly special. The support, encouragement, and genuine sense of community were simply inspiring.
To every performer who generously gave their time, talent, and passion, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your music didn’t just entertain; it brought people together and created memories that will be cherished for a long time to come.
These events are about so much more than fundraising. They celebrate live music, strengthen community spirit, embrace diversity, build lasting friendships, and remind us all of the joy that comes from sharing great moments together.
To everyone who attended, volunteered, donated, bought raffle tickets, dressed in their fabulous ’60s gear, and helped make the day such a success—thank you. Your support means the world to us.
The Manukau Cruising Club is truly humbled by the continued generosity and encouragement we receive. We hope each and every one of you is blessed tenfold for the happiness you bring to our events and for helping keep live music thriving in our community.
Until next time… keep the music playing, keep supporting local talent, and keep spreading those groovy vibes!
