And if you don't have that friend... it's you. So send it to yourself. 😅

Chocolate won't ruin your fat loss. Neither will a burger. And eating one salad won't magically fix your diet.

What matters is what you eat most of the time, not what you eat once in a while.

You don't need to cut out your favourite foods to lose body fat. You need to understand portions, manage your calorie intake and build habits you can stick to long term.

Stop worrying about whether a food is good or bad. Start looking at how your overall diet fits your goals.

You can enjoy the foods you love and still get results. You just need to learn how to make them work together.

Now tell me, are you choosing chocolate or burgers? 😂

You can train hard at the gym, but if you're trying to lose body fat, what you do outside the gym matters even more.

Your nutrition, daily movement, hydration, sleep and consistency all play a role in your results.

You don't need to train harder every single day. You need to build habits that support your goals, even on the days you're not at the gym.

Train with purpose. Eat with a plan. Recover properly. Stay consistent.

Fat loss isn't just about what you do for one hour. It's about the habits you build for the other 23.

Some people gain fat while taking whey protein. Others lose fat. Here's why.

Whey protein doesn't make you gain or lose fat by itself. Your total calorie intake is what matters.

One scoop has around 130 calories and makes hitting your daily protein target easier. But those calories still count towards your daily total.

If you want to lose fat, you need a calorie deficit. That means consuming fewer calories than your body burns.

Exercise isn't just about losing weight or looking better.

It improves your physical health, supports your mental health, helps you stay independent as you age, and reduces your risk of several chronic diseases.

You don't need to love the gym. You don't need to train like an athlete. You just need to find a way to move your body that you can stick to.

Start small, keep showing up, and give your future self a reason to thank you.

Apparently, carbs aren't essential, so we should stop eating them. Great logic. 🤦‍♂️

By that standard, butter isn't essential. Beef isn't essential. Eggs aren't essential either. But funny how the same argument doesn't get used when people are defending their favourite foods. And don't get me started on saturade fats, which is not essential but somehow they will spread as much misinformation as possible to explain how important and necessary it is 😅

This is where keto and carnivore advocates lose the plot. They confuse being able to survive without a food with that food being useless.

You can survive without carbs. That doesn't mean cutting them out makes your diet healthier, better or easier to maintain.

Carbs can provide energy, fibre, vitamins and minerals. They can support exercise performance, and foods like fruit, vegetables, beans, oats and whole grains can be part of a healthy diet.

And if you're trying to lose body fat, you don't need to fear bread, rice, pasta or potatoes. You need an approach that helps you manage your calorie intake while getting the nutrients you need.

You don't get extra points for making your diet more restrictive. And removing entire food groups doesn't automatically make you more educated about nutrition.

Just because you can live without something doesn't mean you should avoid it.

You didn't ruin your diet by eating a piece of chocolate.

You made things harder when you decided that one piece of chocolate meant you'd failed.

When you're trying to lose body fat, it's easy to fall into the trap of thinking you need to get everything right. Then you eat something you didn't plan for, feel guilty, and end up eating more or giving up completely.

But one piece of chocolate doesn't define your progress. Neither does one meal or one bad day.

You don't need to start again on Monday. You don't need to punish yourself or eat less tomorrow to make up for it.

Just get back to your normal routine at your next meal.

The goal isn't to eat perfectly. It's to build habits you can maintain without feeling guilty every time you eat something you enjoy.

Everyone wants results, but wanting something and actually working towards it are two different things.

Set the goal. Make a plan. Give yourself a deadline. Then show up, even on the days you don't feel like it.

You don't need to be perfect. You need to keep going when motivation disappears.

That's how you turn goals into results.

You don't need to give up the foods you love to lose fat.

Simple meals can still be delicious, filling and fit your goals. This rice and beans recipe is a perfect example. It's easy to make, high in protein, and doesn't require fancy ingredients or spending hours in the kitchen.

At around 301 calories and 35g of protein, it's a great option if you're trying to lose body fat while staying satisfied.

Fat loss after 35 isn't about eating as little as possible. It's about finding simple meals you enjoy and can stick to long term.
