4 GRANDER 2026 – THE RESULTS

What a weekend on the water. 73 anglers from Browns Bay and Poenamo Fishing Clubs fished the 4 Grander from 16 to 18 October, entering 133 fish and sharing 67 brag photos along the way. Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make the prizegiving such a great night.

Champion – Tony Ward, 87.0 cm snapper
An outstanding fish. Congratulations, Tony.

2nd – Joe Turner, 82.0 cm
3rd – Darrel Catchpole, 81.5 cm

Rounding out the top ten: Kurt Jones (81.0), Mike Smith (80.0), Scott Washer (80.0), Clinton Barnes (80.0), Thomas Dunn (79.5) and Hunter Barnes (79.0), with Raymond Heald, Joel Kennedy and John Holyoake sharing 10th place on 77.5 cm.

Club Trophy – best ten fish
Browns Bay Fishing Club took the trophy with 791.5 cm, ahead of Poenamo Fishing Club on 770.5 cm. Just 21 cm in it, so the rematch next year should be a good one.

Spot prizes
First angler over 70 cm – Phoenix Martin (75.5 cm)
Mystery length – Carter Dunn, spot on at 73.0 cm
