MAGS U14 Open 2017

Six of our U14 boys played in the title winning MAGS U15 7's team at the Auckland Champs today at Waitemata Rugby Club.
They all contributed well to the team and can hold their heads high, They played Pakuranga to win their quarter, then on to win a close game against a strong Aorere College team before winning the final against a powerful Kelston Boys High Team 24-17.
Great work guys! Apart from a couple of injuries it was an enjoyable day out.

Hi Team,

Now the dust has settled after a challenging and learning day yesterday.

I want to say how proud I am and I'm sure the other coaches would be to, Off our teams achievement this year.

Of course I'm disappointed, but I'm thankful for what we have achieved.

If you haven't achieved anything memorable, this year with Rugby.

Yesterday outcome is the biggest learning you would of and can achieved.

Players play Rugby for 5/10 years without playing any Finals Rugby, not everyone Plays Finals Rugby and at U/14 you have experienced it already, be grateful/thankful for what you have achieved and learn from yesterday result.

Thanks your parents gratefully for the time and effort they have invested in you/us to enjoy your Rugby.

Good luck with what's to come with the rest of the year.

A really tough game against a committed De la Salle team saw our team stay composed and go out winners by 12-5.
Despite some marginal calls and a number of tries not being awarded in the second half the boys stuck to their tasks and defended very well. There were good decisions made on defence and attack.
Great win against a good team guys- we are proud of the big effort from all off our players today.
Thanks to Charlie Cobb, Nathaniel Wong and Robbie Davis for taking the pictures for us today also.
