That’s a wrap on the North Island Novice Champs 🥊

We came away with 1 gold and 1 silver, finishing with 3 wins and 3 losses overall.

Jay had a good fight and secured the gold. Amazing work 🥇

Kals stepped up big time, taking on a much more experienced opponent in a match bout due to no one in his division—and got the win 🏅

Jessie moved up into a more experienced division and performed outstandingly, narrowly missing gold with a controversial split decision loss in the final🥈

James moved up a weight division for the same reason but couldn’t quite get the result this time. But still a good effort.

Alex put on a strong performance against the eventual division winner.

Proud of everyone’s effort to and willingness to challenge themselves 👊

Ran my first show on Saturday, pretty happy with how it all turned out. The first of many!

Thankyou to all of the fighters, coaches and supporters for making the show happen.

An extra special thankyou to my wife and my boys who made everything run smoothly.
