Together we send our love, strength and prayers to Marist old boy Sautia Misaโa loving husband, proud father, and dedicated coach of the Te Atatu Roosters Under 8s team.
Tia is in critical care and his aiga needs our help. If you are in a position to donate, please consider extending your aroha to the Misa family. No koha is too small, and every cent towards this cause goes to a family most deserving of community support.
This is more than a game and our club connections extend beyond the footy field. Marist will always be proud to have been your home at some stage in your life Tia, and our doors will always be open to you and your family.

โI first started playing for the Saints when I was 10 years old, back in 1991 when St Maryโs Primary in Avondale was under the Marist umbrella.
Most of the local Avondale boys who lived in Avondale went to Marist so my connection to the club is grounded in both Rugby League and brotherhood.
The coach that left a lasting impression on me would have to be Anthony Lipscombe; he was my coach from the age of 12-18. I played with alongside some talented people. My top picks would have to be Jeff Ierome and Jan Dean Tiavale.
The brotherhood during my time was unbreakable, I thought we were tighter than most clubs. I love my club for some if not the most fondest memories of my life were created there.
Just as I spent many seasons playing for Marist, our Malisi family have stood beside me and mine through many seasons of life. These connections are not surface level, they run deep. At every wedding, milestone birthday, funeral, and many other occasions, you can be sure our Malisi village will be present. Us dads were the beginning of the Marist connection, but it was the wives who kept it constant and now our kids continue the story.
Iโve played for Marist, coached my sonโs team at Marist, and now I sit on the committee as a Junior Club Captain, engaging with our coaches and managers and most importantly our kids.โ
