πŸ’™ A great pool experience starts with all of us.

Wearing the right swimwear helps maintain water quality and creates a comfortable environment for everyone in our community. We've put together a handy what to wear guide below to show what's suitable for our pools. βœ…

Swimming nappies = happy pool days! πŸ’¦
Disposable nappies = pool party pooper 😬

Hey parents! Just a reminder all children under 3 must wear swimming nappies in our pools. Regular disposable nappies just don’t cut it.

πŸ’§ They soak up water like a sponge
πŸ’© They’re prone to leaks (yep…that kind of leak)
🚫 Which can lead to unexpected pool closures. Nobody wants that!

Forgot yours? No stress! We’ve got swim nappies available at reception in a range of sizes.

Thanks for helping us keep the pool clean, safe, and open for all! 😊

Rest is part of the plan 🌿

Rest days aren’t a sign of slacking - they’re a key part of progress. Taking time to recover helps prevent injury, boost performance, and recharge both body and mind πŸ’ͺ

Listen to your body. Give yourself the rest you’ve earned, so you can come back even stronger. πŸ’€

Let's keep everyone safe! πŸ“’

All children aged 10 years and under must be actively supervised by a caregiver aged 17 years and over.

πŸ—―οΈ Actively supervising means:
β˜‘οΈ You are in the water and within arms' reach with your children aged 4 years and under
β˜‘οΈ You are ready to help your children aged 5-10 years immediately. Even if you're not in the pool with them, you should be near your children so you can hear them and they can hear you.

πŸ”Š We do not consider you to be actively supervising if you are using a mobile phone, or in a sauna or spa.

Not every community starts with a big introduction.

Sometimes it's the smile from a staff member who knows your name. The familiar faces in your fitness class. The person you chat with in the spa pool or while watching the kids' swimming lesson.
At our pool and leisure centres, connections are built one visit at a time.
Because feeling like you belong is about more than where you live. It's about finding people and places that make you feel welcome.

πŸ’™ Who's part of your community here?

Only attempt to swim if you're confident you can safely reach help or a safe place. If not, continue floating and conserve your energy until help arrives.

Thanks to Drowning Prevention Auckland Aotearoa for these four simple steps - together we can help reduce drowning in Aotearoa New Zealand. πŸ’¦

When you're calm and able to keep yourself afloat, attract attention by signalling for help and calling out if you can.
