For the people in the back row, muscle does NOT weigh more than fat!!! Do I need to say it again? If you jump on the scales and see an increase in 2kg. Sorry, but going to the gym 3x a week for 3 weeks didn’t build 2kg of muscle. I wish we did build muscle that fast and quickly, but you don’t! Muscle is more dense, takes up less room and is firm. Fat is jelly like and wobbly and spills out. And this is why muscular people look lean and toned. Theres less wobbly fat. But gain a kg of muscle or fat, the scale will increase by a kg.
So what does it mean if you are working out and eating healthy but the scales go up?
Chances are;
🥪 You’re not actually tracking food. Weigh & measure your food. Stop guessing because chances are you’re eating more = more calories
🤓 Read labels. Healthy, high protein, low carb, high fibre. Does not automatically mean you can eat as much as you like.
💧You have had water, food or need a 💩
🧂You had a salty meal.

If you’re serious about getting fitter, healthier or dropping a few kg’s then let’s chat. If you’re going to give me excuses, cancel last minute and not follow my advice, then maybe hit the unfollow. I love seeing clients achieve their goals whatever they are are. I’m big on helping clients evolve into the best version of themselves. I love hearing that they have more mobility, more strength, more energy or have better health results! That’s the stuff I love, person centred personal training I guess you could say…. Allowing my clients to find that inner voice, that inner drive and power. I can be the sign post, but ultimately my clients are driving the car.
So let’s work together to achieve something amazing

I’m back this week. Just not Friday 🫣 I have some counselling sessions for an assignment that need filming and then I’m catching up with a friend who will probably end up being my counsellor!!! Looking forward to getting back to comfortable and familiar work. And seeing everyone 🥰🥰 please let me know if you can’t make a session so I can utilise the time.

Health is not just focusing on one area and expecting everything else to follow. And I get that makes things feel overwhelming. But in order to be your best for yourself and for the ones you love, you need to be strong in all areas. Then when one area weakens, we can identify it and correct it before our whole wellbeing crumbles.
Pick where you need to start and go from there, is it eating better? Removing alcohol?
Prioritising sleep or being active. And this doesn’t need to be a huge change. You may start walking daily, tracking food, not keeping alcohol in the house. Once you get one area under control, incorporate another.
Like ripples spread wide in a calm pond of water, so do good habits.
Then it’s about being consistent with your intention

It’s an interesting question. One I think would be different depending on who you ask.
For me, health is not a look, it’s not a particular diet and it’s not what you see filling your feed recommending ridiculous rules to follow in order to be your optimal best. Often recommended by unqualified influencers. Health is such an individual thing and is relative to the person and where they are at. Health for me is being able to move freely and freely into old age. I can’t guarantee I’ll never get sick, but I want to be in a position where if I do, I’m in the best place for my body to fight. For me health is not having health issues that I bring on my self from a bad diet and lack of exercise.
For others health may look very, very different.
We all want to be here for a long time and for a long time where we’re able to use that time to enjoy life!

Happy Easter! However you celebrate, I hope you have a wonderful day. I’ve started the day with egg whites, that counts right 🤣🤣🏋️‍♀️ For me Easter is just about time with family, enjoying each other company and relaxing. I love that.
So whatever you do, enjoy it!
Happy Easter! 🐣 #🐣

In one breath we tell other women to accept how they look while we turn and apply our eye enhancing, wrinkle reducing make everything beautiful eye cream. We tell everyone that any body is a bikini body while we google search the next beat thing to ozempic for quick weight loss.
We say that every body is beautiful but then continually only give compliments when someone loses weight. Magazines continually shame aging, influencers promote workouts for thinner thighs, bigger b***s, how to loose love handles or your post baby bulge. We say that everything is fine in moderation but then turn down a meal because we’re feeling fat. I think self love is a beautiful ideology. We’re a long way from making this the norm unfortunately
