What a fantastic day at our annual Whangaparaoa Ladies Day on Sunday! 🎾☀️

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the event such a great success. It was wonderful to see such a strong turnout of players, supporters and spectators enjoying a brilliant day of tennis, fun and community spirit.

Congratulations to Debbie Martin & Gill Hanna, who were crowned the overall winners on the day - a fantastic achievement! 👏🏆

A special thank you also goes to all of our generous prize sponsors for your support, we truly appreciate your contribution in helping make the day so memorable.

We’re already looking forward to next year but first, our next focus is our annual Men's Day on Sunday 17th May.

Congratulations to one of our promising Juniors - Jai Kumar, who has been invited to a Tennis NZ training camp this weekend for the best U12's in the North Island.

Very happy for Jai, who has earned an invite to the Tennis NZ 11 & Under National Training Camp this weekend!

Jai’s internal motivation is impressive, to say the least. He often arrives at the club 2+ hours before his lesson starts to hit against the wall, practice his serve, or play with our younger juniors (including helping his sisters who are promising tennis players too!). He’ll even challenge the seniors to a hit!

Out of all our club members, Jai is clocking the most hours on court at Whangaparaoa Tennis Club. He is always willing to explore new techniques and tactics, and everyone at Court Lab is excited to see what the future holds for him.

Hard work pays off! 🎾👏

🎾 Whangaparaoa Junior Interclub Results 2025/26 🎾

What an incredible season it’s been for our Juniors! A huge congratulations to all of our junior players for a high-performing year across both Pre- and Post-Christmas competitions 👏

We’re especially proud of our 16–18 Boys team bringing home 1st place, along with the fact that ALL teams finished in the top 3 in either the Pre- or Post-Xmas leagues, and both for some of our teams.

Your hard work, teamwork, and dedication on the court have truly paid off – well done to team managers, players, parents, and supporters who made it all possible!

With a strong turnout of spectators creating a great atmosphere around the club, all finals were closely contested and delivered high-quality, competitive tennis, showcasing skill, intensity, and sportsmanship at the highest level.
