On Saturday night, we came together for our annual Bayside Baseball Prizegiving — a fantastic evening celebrating both individual achievements and team success across the club.

From our youngest players in 10U right through to our Premier teams, it was awesome to recognise the hard work, improvement, commitment, and performances shown throughout the season. We also celebrated an incredible year for the club overall, including our 13U and 16U Auckland Championship teams, along with our 16U National Championship-winning side — outstanding achievements that reflect the growth and strength of Bayside Baseball.

What a way to finish the Baseball New Zealand 16U Summer Showdown.

After major weather disruptions throughout the tournament, Baseball New Zealand did an outstanding job managing the schedule as best as possible within the limited days available.

Our Bayside boys rose to the challenge, finishing with a perfect 4–0 record to take out the tournament and be crowned 16U National Champions. An incredible achievement and a true reflection of the hard work, resilience, and team-first attitude this group has shown all season.

A huge thank you to Baseball New Zealand for delivering the tournament under tough circumstances, to all teams for a fantastic couple of days of baseball, and of course to all the parents, supporters, scorers, helpers, and volunteers who made it all possible.

Success like this simply doesn’t happen without the amazing support behind the scenes.

16U National Champions. Bayside proud. 💙🐺⚾
