This is one of the things we love about UDO! Training great tutors
The Tribe tutors Zariyah and Shylah are undertaking tutor training under the UDO teacher programme. This ensure they continue to upskill and learn, while they teach and still compete as a duo. Part of the tutor training programme includes a experienced mentor who works alongside them to develop, grow and challenge them as both tutors and choreographers. There is also theory work to be completed as well as practical examination.
We are looking at running the Auckland event in mid May, but we need to grow the entires from last year, what studios would be keen?

Refreshing to see the progress over the last 5 years here in NZ after judging HHI and UDO, but its still clear that training in the different styles is so important into understanding both the dance, music and your own movement so you can go onto perform, battle, freestyle, cypher, teach, judge etc. So I'm starting an OPEN Adult (but youngers are welcome too) Class every Monday. TERM 3 2019 - LETS DO THIS! Open Adult Hip Hop and Street Dance starts back next Monday 7-8pm $15 at Mainly Dance Studios. Spread the word and see you there for some training and fun vibes! What an inspiring day at the very first UDO NZ Qualifiers. Thank you so much to everyone that was involved, we have a small but hardworking team, and some amazing volunteers, some of which were parents of dancers offering their time to help. Massive thanks to the judges for all the hard work and dilligence, MC Hadz, Luke, Nate, Adrian & the team, . To the studios, coaches and managers we see all the hardwork you put in! To the over 200 dancers that took the stage, you made today!! with your positive vibes, love of dance, passion and energy on and off the stage.
