New Tennis Court Update

We have submitted our application for a minor amendment to our building consent. Hopefully we will have this approved in the next week or so and can then be underway with the build of our new courts.

We are also conducting a super-quick club survey about the preferred colour for the new courts - so please take time to complete this survey by clicking below - it should take you less than a minute!

Craigs Investment Partners Chelsea Cup Update

Last Friday the team played Campbells Bay, winner of the last 4 mens Chelsea Cup titles. Our team played some excellent tennis but eventually lost 1-5 to the top team, which was loaded with single digit-ranked players.

The Belmont Craig's Investment Partners team fought hard in every match, Benny Welte losing in 3 sets and Euan Colley pushing the Campbell's Bay #1 in a quality match. Our top doubles pairing of Euan and Ayush eventually won in a walk over. William Michie acquitted himself extremely well in his first CC match.

Belmont is in a tight tussle for 3rd/4th and needs a good win over Milford this coming Friday night at home to secure the much-needed points.

Come along and support the team in their last Chelsea Cup match for this season, have a drink and something to eat and cheer them along to victory! Matches start from 6pm.

Chelsea Cup Update

A 1-5 loss to the top team, loaded with single digit ranked players. This week we are selling delicious burgers and sausages (tickets at the bar) cooked fresh off the BBQ onsite.

Belmont is challenging Silverdale for 2nd and move a step closer to the Final.

Belmont Craig’s Investment Partners Chelsea Cup campaign continues with another hard fought win against Beachaven, 4 matches to 2 matches.

The team for this weeks match Andrew Allan, Chester Espie, Ayush Poojary, Liam Howes and Leo Li had to play at their very best to better a quality Beachaven team.
Andrew Allan and Leo Li drew the very best out of their singles opponents, unfortunately both losing narrowly in 2 sets. Ayush Poojary won in 2 sets with a tight TB in the second, Liam Howes won in 3 sets against an older more experienced player. This left the tie at 2 singles each with the doubles to be played.

Andrew and Liam played superbly to beat a quality pair from Beachaven, the experienced Chester Espie then combined with young Ayush to clinch the tie, winning comfortably in 2 sets.

Belmont Craigs Investment Partners has a team with depth, experience and youth, and a great team camaraderie.

Next match is on Friday 20 February, 6pm at Belmont against Mairangi Bay- our first home match. Let’s make this a huge crowd at Belmont to witness some outstanding tennis.

Great start for Belmont Craigs Investment Partners Belmont PRC started the Chelsea Cup competition with a resounding win over Northcote - 5 matches to 1 match. Belmont supporters were out in big numbers cheering the team on!

The team on the night had a solid mix of experienced players in Dan, Andrew and Euan and talented Juniors Ayush and Liam.
In the singles:

Dan Brown lost in a close 3 sets - 4-6 6-3 3-6
Andrew Allan won 6-3 6-1
Ayush Poojary won 6-1 2-0 opponent retired injured
Liam Howes won 6-3 6-1

In the doubles:
Dan and Andrew won 6-2 7-5
Euan and Ayush won 6-2 6-4

Next match is against Beachaven on 13 February at Beachaven.

First home match is Friday 20 February against Mairangi Bay, 6pm start. Put this in your calendar….it will be a big evening of fantastic tennis.

Belmont PRC’s Men’s Chelsea Cup team starts the season this Friday evening, 6pm at Northcote. This is the first time since the 2012/13 season that Belmont has entered a Chelsea Cup team and we look forward to a successful season. The team has several
experienced players and also a number of talented younger players.
