We are halfway through the season
What a season it has been so far this year, here are some of the highlights.
Prems team is in 8th place currently with 3 wins so far this season and all three wins were against teams above them in the table. They are averaging almost 8 points a game. Individually, Captain Paul has played the most games so far this year and getting over 50% wins, Randal is smashing high starts with 4 x 120 starts over just 2 Saturdays. Jarred leading a few records but highlighting the 5 x 180s scored and the 23 x 100+ scores in one day higher than any other Stinger. Jewy is leading the most wins so far this season with 62.5% win rate. Alex has had a fantastic first half of the season with 20 x 100+ starts and 6 x 100+ finishes, the highest of anyone. Jamahl is amongst 5 players all with a 180 this year and also has a fantastic high finish of 164 score. Norm played his second game of the season last weekend, winning 2 of the 4 games and getting 7 x 100+ scores in the process.
The A-League team have also been pretty impressive so far this season too, sitting forth in the league with 7 wins so far, with their best win been a 16-4 victory last weekend over Respect De Bulls. Averaging 10.6 points per weekend we should be in for plenty more wins. Moving onto the individuals, Captain David has the only 100+ finish for Stingers 2 so far with a great 137 score. He also leads by example winning almost 68% of his games. Steve does however lead the wins with 69.5% average he also leads the most 180s so far this year from Stingers 2 which is 4. Brian is showing off the double starts with 13 over 100 scored, also is one of 3 people with a 171 score (T19x3), Brian is also one of 2 players to have an undefeated Saturday in his singles, winning all 4 games 2-0, this is along with Steve. William boasts most games played this season only missing one game and he also holds a 171 score too. Chris has stepped his game up hugely this season, playing 7 games, getting 2 x 180s and 3 100+ starts, great playing. Terry is always showing a very solid form each week consistently scoring well and winning games with almost a 50% win rate and also getting 3 x 100+ starts. James while starting strong this season, he has not been available too much lately, but when he has played his scoring is great holding the third highest start with 128. Tony managed to put down his bowls and pick up his arrows for the first time last month, starting himself off in the book with a 101 start, great way to start your season. We hope our 2 other players will get to the oche soon and show us the skills they have.
We would like to thank everyone for their support to the darts section this season so far, as always it is greatly appreciated, as is your donations for the double sized meat pack each week.

Only one game this weekend.
Stingers 2 had a rescheduled game and played on Friday night which was a great change and great to see the supporters stay later than usual to show your support for the darts section, thank you all. So to the darts, we played Respect De Bulls at the Hive and started out strong with Adam and Steve taking 2 pair wins and David and William taking one win from the pairs. William was very unfortunate with only one win with his singles and 3 x 100+ scores, Adam got his highest 100+ scores with 10 of them and a 140, winning 3 of his games and taking the forth to a (nal leg, very unlucky not to get a full house! Capt. David also got 3 wins, throwing 7 x 100+ a 140 and a 152, Nice. Finally Steve pulled out a 112 start and a further 8 x 100+ scores, with that he managed to pull out 4 wins getting a full house of singles and pairs. Final score was 14-6 win to the Stingers team and a well deserved win!
With only 3 weekends of games left in the league we push to gather all the scores we can, following this we have the City of Sails Championship Singles on 23 November, The Stingers then hold their in house Singles Tournament the following week on 30 November along with our presentation evening. Then we wrap up the year with the COS Prize giving on 14 December.
