The Trofeo series is an entry level motorsport event open to a wider range of Italian marque cars. See www.trofeo.org.nz for more info.

The New Zealand Trofeo Series is a group of some 40 odd Alfistii who get together each year to race the wheels of their Alfa Romeo cars of varying ages & characteristics in a contest that is fun, friendly, competitive and relatively affordable. The rules provide four classes catering for Alfa Romeo cars from relatively standard specification, through to fully race prepared vehicles.

Many thanks to all those who attended the Trofeo Series AGM online yesterday afternoon. I can announce that we have a new committee, Euan, Scott, and Eddie (until someone else steps up, hint hint everyone) and that they are keen to see the series continue in some format. Further information will no doubt be forthcoming once they have their first meeting. Meanwhile, I would encourage everyone to get yourselves sorted and get out on the track, and give ERC your support as well. More cars on track will help everyone survive this current climate.
Best wishes to everyone. Over and out.
Anthony

Three Trofeo Series racers turned up last Sunday for our second to last meeting for this season. Max and Maurice had some successful and fun racing, but Anthony felt out of sorts from the beginning, and only managed two laps of the first race before spinning and somehow managed to break his scaphoid bone in his wrist, putting him out for the rest of the season.
Thanks to Wendy Metcalfe for the photos.

Trofeo Series round 4 is coming up fast, with Sprints on Saturday 22nd and racing on Sunday 23rd, courtesy of Taupo Car Club Inc. Winter Series.
Get your entries in as early as possible. Attendance at the last round was dismal, so we need to get ourselves back out there.
See the attached notice from Taupo Car Club for details. If accommodation is a worry, contact Anthony. There are some beds available in Taupo courtesy of Taupo Trofeo Series members (limited supply).
Hope to see you all at the circuit.🏁
