Huge congratulations to Yvonne on her induction into the Netball New Zealand Hall of Fame!

Yvonne holds a special place in Northern Mystics history as Head Coach of our inaugural team in 2008, the first year of the ANZ Championship.

Thank you, Yvonne, for the legacy you’ve helped create in New Zealand netball. A well-deserved honour celebrating an outstanding contribution to our game! 👏🏐

Welcome to the Netball New Zealand Hall of Fame, Yvonne Willering CNZM. Silver Fern #59.

A 1979 World Cup winner as a player, Yvonne went on to coach the Silver Ferns from 1997 to 2001, winning silver at the 1998 Commonwealth Games.

A massive congratulations to our Cat, who has been named Sportswoman of the Year at the 2026 University of Auckland Blues Awards!

Balancing elite netball, medicine, honours research and rehab is no small feat, but Cat continues to make it look seriously impressive.

We already know what she can do on court, but this is a pretty special reminder of everything she’s achieving off it too.

So proud of you, Cat! 💙

After six unforgettable seasons, five Grand Finals and four Premiership titles, Assistant Coach Rob Wright is leaving the Mystics to pursue an opportunity overseas.

Rob's impact stretches well beyond the trophy cabinet. Across six years he's shaped players, coaches and our wider organisation - and handed out a few legendary nicknames along the way.

In Rob's words: "Coming to Netball Northern and the Mystics has been the best decision I have ever made. It is the best organisation I have ever worked for. It is always the people that makes something so special."

We farewell Rob with deep respect, gratitude and aroha, and wish him every success in this next chapter. Thank you, Rob. 💙
