Founder and Director Kathleen-Malee Smith trained in Christchurch NZ, gaining her final ballet exam, RAD Solo Seal award, at only 15 years of age under Ann Judson. She then travelled overseas to train in Monte Carlo, Banff, Hamburg and London as well as participating in the Prix de Lausanne and Varna ballet competitions. OUR FIRST-EVER SUMMER INTENSIVE IS FOR YOUNG DANCERS FROM ALL OVER NEW ZEALAND.
Building on the success of our annual Winter School, the inaugural New Zealand School of Dance Summer Intensive offers four days of full-time training, in either classical ballet OR contemporary dance.
For students aged 12 - 16, Summer Intensive 2021 is a unique opportunity to experience the highest levels of training from the School’s renowned teaching staff.
