Dance Expression

If you are looking for a fun dance class for your little ones give this a go. I took Sebastian this morning and it was a lot of fun!

Hi Everyone, I have some very sad news, and I honestly don't really know where to start...
As you know I was all geared up for another term of classes, however due to the current recession I have noticed a drop in numbers due to people unable to afford extra curricular activities. I honestly didn't mind and essentially doing it for free because I love it so much, and I wanted to create an awesome space for kids to learn to dance. However yesterday I received a new additional bill for my music licensing which now makes my classes unsustainable. With a heavy heart I am going to have to shut down my classes for the foreseeable future.

I have been running my classes since 2018 and have seen so many kids come through the door. I am very proud of what I created and the good my classes have done for so many kids. I am so sorry to disappoint all the kids in my classes, I hope they are able to find another class to continue dancing. This is not the end of Dance Expression, I am just having to hit pause until we are out of this recession.

Dance Expression Primary Class. We welcomed a lot of new faces this term, and it has been great getting to know everyone. This term we have been working on building a solid ballet technique foundation, building confidence to try new things, and working on memory skills.

I can't wait to build on everything they have learnt in term 2!

Dance Expression Preschool class. This term we welcomed a few new students to the preschool class. Our focus this term was on introducing props, following basic instructions, and the foundations of ballet technique. I can't wait to build on these skills in term 2!

Dance Expression Pr***en Class. This term we have been working hard on a contemporary piece with a huge focus on learning chorography with different starting facings. The students worked so hard and put in a lot of concentration to perfect this technically and mentally challenging choreography. Well done girls!

We also spent some time learning how to create our own choreography. This term we explored different ways of using a scarf. I can't wait to see what they come up with in term 2!

Great way to end the term with an Easter party!

Tomorrow will be the last classes of term one! To finish the term off with a bang, classes will be Easter themed! Feel free to dress up and get ready for a fun class!
