Athletics Auckland is the regional body responsible for the promotion of the sport of athletics within the region of Greater Auckland, made up primarily of the North Shore, Waitakere, Auckland City and Counties Manukau regions. We provide interclub and individual competitions for Track and Field, Cross Country and Road Running. We are also responsible for the selection of Representative Teams to the National Championships.

πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ NO Pacing allowed during races (running outside the course next to someone racing is considered pacing - the runner competing could be disqualified as a result of this)

The 2026-27 Summer National Domestic Calendar has landed.

From December through to February, athletes will have opportunities across the country to chase fast times, personal bests and national titles.
Featuring the Summer Circuit, National Permit Meets, and championships throughout the summer.

Meet the dates, start planning, and we'll see you on the start line this summer.

Athletes wanting to compete at the NZ Cross Country Champs on 1 August in Christchurch, YOU HAVE TO ENTER THE RACE YOURSELF, regardless of whether you have been selected or submitted an EOI for inclusion in the Auckland team.

Standard Entries for the NZ Cross Country Champs close Monday 20 July at 11:59pm.
Late Entries close Friday 24 July - but if you enter after 20 July your name will not be printed on your bib and a late entry fee will apply.
