News just in regarding National Champs 2026

🚨🚨 NATIONAL CHAMPS UPDATE!! 🚨🚨

The National Championships are NOT being held in Hawke’s Bay anymore.

We understand this may come as difficult news for some as travel/accommodation plans were already made.

Our focus is to give certainty of where Nationals will be, so Boxing NZ are actively seeking a NEW ASSOCIATION to deliver the 2026 National Championships.

The association needs to:
1. Have the structure, personnel and operational capacity to deliver a National Championship to standard.
2. Be registered under Internal Affairs to host boxing tournaments.

Amateur boxing is well and truly alive in Auckland. Look at all these cadets that showed up for an inter club training and sparring rounds.
These guys and girls are all under 14 and some of them can really move!

𝗦𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟮𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗟 𝟭𝟬𝗔𝗠-𝟭𝟮𝗣𝗠 : 𝗖𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗧𝗦 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗢𝗨𝗧

North Boxing Academy is hosting Cadets Day Out at the ABA for all Auckland Amateur Boxing Assoc - ABA affiliated gyms.

The day is for our youth aged 9-13 with 0-3 fights aimed to show those interested in our sport what we do and what we are about.

We welcome all levels of beginner.

There will be some competitive sparring for those who havent sparred outside the gym and may be looking to fight in the near future.

There will be some introduction level sparring for those who are just getting in to it, and some body sparring or shoulders and knees for burpees for those who arent quite ready to don the mouthguard and headgear just yet.

What to bring:

Mouthguard
Headgear
12oz Gloves
Water
Towel

We will put on some sandwiches and fruit for after sparring

Bring em all, start the next generation strong. 🥊🥊
