We He Waka Eke Noa Charitable Trust want to pay tribute today to the many funders that make our mahi possible.
There is absolutely no way we could do what we do without the funding we receive.
And what do we do???
Offer subsidized rates against our venue hire at Kete Aronui and The Factory Theatre.
Run the Ugly Shakespeare Company across the motu.
Offer Rangitahi Residencies - big shout out to SkyCity Auckland Community Trust
Provide mentorship, classes, workshops.
Soon to offer film nights, and hopefully🤞 holiday shows for our tamariki, whānau and kaitaki this year.
We support comedians, actors, dancers, musicians, circus performers, community dance groups, New Zealand Blood Service, children's theatre classes, Auckland Pride Auckland Fringe, new grads rehearsing shows, PAT - Proudly Asian Theatre... the list is endless.

Our huge huge thanks to all these organizations who are continually offering, have offered, and will continue to offer support to artists at a time when they need it the most.
Everything goes to creating opportunity, resource, and artistic support.
We only have two full time staff members.
So we know we're not management heavy with artists receiving the least.

Thank thank thank you thank you.
We know our funders have faced huge cuts. A shout out from us that we cannot do this without you.
Big or small it all counts.

Rano Trust funded just funded us a new lockable notice board for Kete Aronui, so now we have an easy access place to share the communities, and our, activities.

👑It's almost King's Birthday Weekend!👑

As we rush towards a three-day weekend, this is a reminder that all Public Holidays have reduced booking hours at Kete Aronui. What does that actually mean, you ask?

It means that while you can still make a booking for the long weekend, the incoming bookings aren't monitored in the same way as the weekdays! Similar to weekends, there are only a couple of hours each day that the bookings are checked, which means there is a higher risk of those last-minute bookings not being processed in time!

To secure your spot, make sure you book in before this Saturday evening (May 31st), as otherwise you'll run the risk of missing out! Have questions? Connie's here to help - send her an email at [email protected] for more information.
