Kia ora whānau,
A little school holiday reminder as we head into another busy week at Albany Stadium Pool.
We’re expecting the pool area to be very busy, particularly during peak times. Our team will be monitoring numbers and the needs of those using the pools throughout the day to make sure we can operate safely.
If we reach capacity, entry may be temporarily paused. We don’t operate an ‘in and out’ system, so please don’t assume that someone leaving means another person can immediately enter. Our capacity can change throughout the day depending on what is happening in our pool area.
We’ll continue to share capacity updates on our website, with update times varying depending on how busy we are. Checking the website before you leave home can help you plan your visit.
Please also remember:
Children need to be well before entering the pool area, and children under 3 must wear a swim nappy.
Our child supervision requirements are:
• 4 years and under: 1 adult to 2 children, with the adult in the water and within arm’s reach.
• 5–10 years: 1 adult to 4 children, with the adult able to see, hear and assist if needed.
• Mixed ages: 1 adult to 1 child aged 4 and under, plus 3 children aged 5–10 years.
These ratios are there to help keep children safe and make sure everyone can enjoy the pool area safely.
We know the school holidays can be a busy time for everyone, including our team, so please remember to be patient and kind to our staff if you need to wait or if we need to manage entry.
Thanks for helping us keep Albany Stadium Pool safe, welcoming and enjoyable for everyone these school holidays.
