When was the last time you actually stopped?
Not scrolling. Not multitasking rest with three other tabs open. Actually stopped - nervous system included.

Most of us have forgotten what it feels like when the body isn’t bracing for the next thing. We call it “relaxing” but we’re still half-on. Still checking the time. Still somewhere else.

Relax & Restore: Return home to yourself is a day built around one idea, that rest isn’t the absence of activity, it’s a state your nervous system has to actually learn to enter again.

We’re delighted to invite you to our next ANZCI Online Member Meetup, where we’ll be joined by internationally respected wellbeing facilitator Brian Berneman.
Brian Berneman brings over 15 years of experience integrating neuroscience, mindfulness, yoga, Family Constellations and holistic healing practices. His work beautifully bridges modern science and ancient wisdom, creating practical and deeply transformative experiences for people around the world.

This month’s theme: COMPASSION

Why is it often easier to forgive a stranger than the people closest to us?

Compassion can seem simple, until it touches our family relationships or the parts of ourselves we’ve struggled to accept.

In this experiential session, Brian will explore how hidden loyalties and unconscious judgments within our family systems can limit compassion, and what becomes possible when compassion is invited back into the system.

This promises to be a thoughtful and enriching conversation, and we hope you’ll join us.

We look forward to seeing you online.

What if the goal isn’t to be a perfect parent?
In the latest episode of the Conscious Action by Brian Berneman I sat down with Jacqlin Richards for a powerful conversation about parenting, trauma, healing and what it really takes to break generational cycles.

One of the biggest insights from our conversation was this:
💡 Parenting isn’t about knowing all the right strategies.
It’s about having the capacity to use them when life gets messy.
When the kids are crying, when you are overwhelmed, when your nervous system is dysregulated, when old patterns and wounds are activated.

Many of us carry experiences from our own childhood that continue to influence how we show up in relationships today. Without realizing it, we often repeat the very patterns we wish to change.

In this episode, we explore:
✨ How childhood wounds shape our adult lives
✨ The difference between knowledge and capacity
✨ Why perfection creates more suffering
✨ The power of repair and authentic apologies
✨ Honest communication with children
✨ Breaking generational patterns
✨ Nervous system regulation and resilience
✨ Turning pain into wisdom
✨ Raising children who trust themselves and their intuition

One of my favourite reminders from this conversation:
🌱 Children don’t need perfect parents, they need human parents.
Parents who can say:
“I got that wrong.”
“I’m sorry.”
“Let’s start again.”

Because healing doesn’t come from never making mistakes.
It comes from how we repair, reconnect and grow together.

What is one lesson from your own childhood that has shaped how you relate to your kids or others today?

I’m not enlightened. I still lose awareness sometimes.
I’ve felt frustration, impatience, even anger I wasn’t proud of.
The difference isn’t that those moments stopped happening. It’s that I notice them faster now, and I find my way back sooner.
That’s the practice. Not perfection. Just... coming back, again and again.

What does “practice” look like for you this week?
Let me know in the comments.

You know that feeling of finally exhaling after weeks of holding your breath?

Most of us don’t get there anymore. We call a Netflix binge “rest.” We call scrolling “downtime.” Meanwhile the body is still on alert, still waiting for the next thing.

Relax & Restore: Return home to yourself is a full day built around one simple, unfashionable idea: that your nervous system needs a genuine chance.

No agenda beyond that. Just space, structure and enough time for your body to actually catch up.

Comment RELAX and I’ll send you the details 🌿

Together, we will explore:

Restorative Yoga: Unwind body and mind through a gentle, meditative practice that encourages deep release, mindful awareness and a sense of inner calm.

Breathwork: Release tension and invite clarity with guided breathing practices that reconnect you to your life force.

Conscious Movement Practices: Flow gently and intuitively, reconnecting with your body’s innate wisdom.

Self-Massage: Learn simple techniques to soothe and restore your body’s natural balance.

Yoga Nidra: Rest deeply and consciously through a guided meditation practice that supports profound relaxation, nervous system restoration, and inner renewal.

Sound Healing: Immerse yourself in the healing vibrations of sound to calm the mind and uplift the spirit.

Plant-based food: Nourish your being and ground even deeper.

This retreat is more than a day away, it’s an invitation to return to your essence, a space to replenish and realign with what truly matters. Whether you seek calm, comfort or a deeper connection to yourself, this day offers a sanctuary to nourish your whole being.

Come home. Rest deeply. Nourish fully.

A Sound Healing Experience Created Just for You.

There is something uniquely special about a 1:1 Sound Healing Session.
This is your time, your space, your journey.

In a private session at The Life Centre Brian Berneman - Holistic Wellbeing intuitively works with gongs, crystal singing bowls, voice, chimes and other healing instruments to support your individual needs and intentions.

Whether you are feeling stressed, emotionally overwhelmed, mentally exhausted, navigating a life transition or simply seeking a deeper sense of balance, a private sound healing session offers an opportunity to pause, reset and reconnect.

As the vibrations move through the body, many people experience:🌿 Deep relaxation🌿 A calmer nervous system🌿 Mental clarity🌿 Emotional release🌿 A greater sense of inner peace

No two sessions are the same. Each one is a unique experience, guided by what is present for you in that moment.

✨ Sometimes the most powerful healing happens when we give ourselves the space to be fully seen, supported and held.

Modern science meets ancient wisdom.
For thousands of years, cultures around the world have used sound for healing, meditation and wellbeing.
Today, science is beginning to uncover what many traditions have long understood: sound can have a profound impact on our body and mind.

Research suggests that sound-based practices may help:
🌿 Reduce stress and anxiety
🌿 Support nervous system regulation
🌿 Promote relaxation and better sleep
🌿 Improve mood and emotional wellbeing
🌿 Enhance mindfulness and mental clarity

When we immerse ourselves in a Sound Journey, we are not just listening to beautiful sounds, we are giving our bodies and minds an opportunity to slow down, reset and restore.

The experience may feel simple: lying down, breathing, receiving.
Yet beneath the surface, something powerful is happening.

Sometimes healing begins with a single vibration.
