Join Owairaka Athletics Club for one of our favourite annual traditions – the Matariki King and Queen of the Mountain.

Whether you’re racing for the title or just keen for a social run, everyone’s welcome.

5 km adults • 2.5 km tamariki

Free to enter (optional koha to support our rising stars). Stay afterwards for hot soup, tea and prizegiving.

📅 Friday 10 July - 1-4pm

Meet at Lovelock track club rooms to get your bib etc and we’ll all jog up to the start line together.

Awesome racing on Saturday TeamOwai! Well done everyone! Thanks Pakuranga Athletic Club and Athletics Auckland for an awesome event. The course was hard, dry and fast ... and the racing was hot! Big shout out to our Masters Women Team for taking top Winter League points in the most competitive division in the League this year. Thank you Jo and Terence for your work behind the lens and for bringing the tent. You guys are STARS!

The 24-hour race starts at 3pm Auckland time today (Sat 24 May).

Great to see them alongside the rest of Team NZ ahead of the start.
