The Folly of Meetings Without Clear Outcomes:
Meetings without defined outcomes lack direction and purpose, often meandering from one topic to another without achieving meaningful results. Without a clear goal or agenda, participants may feel disengaged, confused, or even resentful of the time spent in the meeting. This can lead to decreased productivity, morale, and overall organisational effectiveness.
Furthermore, meetings without outcomes are more likely to suffer from poor decision-making and accountability. Without a clear understanding of what needs to be accomplished, participants may leave the meeting without any concrete action items or next steps. This can result in important issues being left unresolved, delayed decision-making, and a lack of follow-through on critical tasks.

Our team, which recently came together, has completed its first Sprint. As I noted, they worked well together before this milestone, but everyone was pleasantly surprised by their performance during the first sprint review. They not only fulfilled most of their commitments, but they also presented working screens and functionalities to both stakeholders and customers. Their performance impressed all involved, and I am optimistic that they will continue to exceed expectations in the future.

I was fortunate enough to join a newly formed team, and I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly we were able to come together. Despite being strangers, we opened up during the team-building exercise and quickly figured out how to work together. We immediately dived into high-level planning and nailed it. I can see that this team has great potential, as they are already supporting each other to achieve their first Sprint goals. I am eager to continue assisting them on their journey.
