From club cricket to World Cup champions. 🏆

WHITE FERNS and Auckland Hearts cricketers Molly Penfold and Izzy Gaze join Tai and Mitch for the latest episode of Behind The Gear, filmed at Players Sports Greenlane.

They chat about their journeys through Auckland cricket and into the WHITE FERNS, winning the 2024 T20 World Cup, dealing with injuries and setbacks, the growth of women’s cricket in New Zealand, and what they’ve learned along the way.

Plus, as long-time Kookaburra cricketers, Molly and Izzy talk through their history with the brand, their gear and finding the right bats for their games.

A great conversation with two of New Zealand cricket’s own.

Behind The Gear with Molly Penfold & Izzy Gaze is live now on YouTube and Spotify.

More bats. More brands. More arriving this week. 🚀

New season cricket bats are arriving thick and fast at Players Sports Greenlane, with more landing this week.

So far, our bat walls are filling up with new-release top-end bats from Gray-Nicolls, Kookaburra, SS, TON and DSC, including some seriously impressive pieces of English willow across a wide range of profiles, shapes and pickups.

There is still plenty more to come.

New Balance and Gunn & Moore are due before the end of the month, with further deliveries from other major cricket brands continuing as we build out the full 2026/27 Players Sports cricket range.

If you’re planning a new bat for the season ahead, this is a good time to start looking. Come into Players Sports Greenlane to compare bats side by side, feel the pickup in person and get expert advice from a team that knows what to look for in a good piece of willow.

The best bats don’t wait. 💨

Ronit has picked out nine standout bats from the new 2026/27 Gray-Nicolls range.

The new 2026/27 Official Gray-Nicolls cricket bat range has arrived at Players Sports, with one of New Zealand’s biggest selections now available at our Greenlane flagship store and online.

From the iconic Fusion, Vector and Nova 4.0 through to the handcrafted Legend and Silver models, there’s a bat for every style of player and every level of the game.

Our premium Gray-Nicolls bats are handcrafted in Melbourne by the legendary Stuart Kranzbuhler and the expert Gray-Nicolls bat making team (if you know, you know).

Every bat has its own pickup, balance, profile and character. That’s why serious cricketers don’t buy from a spec sheet. They pick the bat that feels right in their hands.

The first shipment always includes some exceptional pieces of willow, and they’re usually the first to disappear. If you’ve been waiting for the new range, now’s the time.
