What a different event the Auckland marathon was this year - firstly it wasn't even in the year that it was, followed by over 2 months of extra training/post peak, and finally - I think now we know why they don't run it in January every year! Despite all this we had a couple of standouts - including 3 PBs - some of which were reluctant ones in the circumstances, haha! Well done to Nick, Ben - and Nige - (that ni**le looks sore!!), and of course everyone else who took part. Legends!

This afternoon we were testing at the track. Thanks to some new technology updates, we can now accurately and reliably do our muscle oxygenation limitation testing on both the treadmill and at the track/Road - so we can come to you! It's the first step to finding the best place to target your training, and to finding your next pb!

What do you do when your marathon (Wellington) is cancelled a week out? Run a marathon on your own and get that sub 3 you've been chasing! Awesome effort by Tadhg, especially considering that you were all on your own the whole 42.2kms!

What a weekend at Taupo for the guys... Second place in the 10k for and a new PB (despite some cramping issues) in the half for ... Well done Ben and Carl!

COVID-19 has changed life a lot, but we are pretty lucky to have it so normal here in NZ. Even so, many people have been re-evaluating and some want to keep running, but dial back the amount of time and energy they put into it. That's why I've decided to create a new training package, for those that want to 'get through' an event but not make it their whole life - like told us "you took me from a plodder to some top finishes and a 3:34 marathon PB and a 1:39 half marathon PB, but this year life is a little busy, and I just want to 'get around' some events."
