Rolled the 🎲 and paid the price…
Gambled starting the race with slicks on a greasy track but unfortunately the misty conditions never lifted and with no wind a dry line never emerged. Pitted at the 10 minute mark once the pit window opened to switch to wets only to have an air jack failure. Game over at that point!

We’re at Hampton Downs this weekend for Round 3 of the North Island Endurance Series.
Great to grab pole this afternoon, but the day hasn’t been without issues with no alternator making the runs in each session very brief. New alternator going in tomorrow then we should be set to jet 👍🏼

For those who didn't know, the top two spots were filled by two different takes on a PACE Innovations Pty Ltd built chassis - one a 🐎 and the other a 🚕.

🥈 today in the 1 hour.
Had a jet all weekend and set the fastest lap of the race on lap 44, however I started to loose power steering with 8-9 laps to go. Not want you want with the bumps at Pukekohe so had to death grip the wheel to get it home.

Only one "push" lap as I had to look after the tyres for the race, but enough for a 1:04.3.

Busy day trackside today, but got the job done in qualifying grabbing pole.
Some fast and much more refined race cars starting around me, so let’s see how we’ll fare after 60 minutes tomorrow 😮💨

With the “2021” endurance season concluding on the weekend, there’s a few important people to thank for their help over the five rounds of racing in 2021-2022.

Close but no cigar…
Disappointing end to the 1 hour after sitting in P2 with three laps to go. Having nursed the tyres race long the left rear had finally had enough, and upon the final safety car restart I got freight-trained with no drive dropping back to 4th overall and 3rd in GT-B at the flag.
🎥 The highlight of the weekend was the Friday evening qualifying session - Green tyres, cool track, and no traffic 🤌🏼

It's been a minute...
All set for the National Endurance 1 Hour Championship at Hampton Downs this Friday/Saturday. Had a bunch of good folk prepare the Supertourer over the past few months, so looking forward to seeing how we stack up tomorrow against a tough field full of GT3's, Cup Cars, and V8's.
Crowd restrictions have been lifted, so catch the race trackside or live on Sky Sport 9 from 11:15am Saturday.

P5 overall and second in class today in challenging conditions. With that result we finished up 🥉 overall and first in class for the 1 Hour series over the four rounds.
Frustrating race once the heavier rain arrived as the car was a proper handful with the full dry setup.
Great to get through all four rounds with faultless reliability in every session - thanks to AV8 Motorsport for keeping the old girl running like clockwork.
Next run in the Supertourer will be the National Championship round at Hampton Downs in November.
