Racing Utes! Thanks to Chris and 24Red racing for an awesome Father’s Day!

Wooohoo, fun fun fun. He’s an action shot and the first 3 minutes of the first race … super close racing and the sequential gear box makes you feel like a V8 super car driver!

So…. It’s been a minute… racing tomorrow in this beast! Looking forward to have a Father’s Day skid!

Some days don’t end so well, just so grateful that Alan was unhurt. Car aqua planned in extreme wet conditions on the front straight and it was all over. Big thanks and condolences to 24 Red Racing and Chris O'Driscoll on the state of the mighty civic and congrats to the other 24red racing team that managed awesome result winning the 6 hour in it’s class! Hoping the civic lives to see another day!

Hey team, Hampton Downs, GT-PRO class in this fantastic little Civic again thanks to 24 Red Racing. Racing starts at 11am and we won’t be done till 5pm… come down and see how we’re getting on! Let’s go!!

That’s a rap, car got back on the track thanks to some parts and help from a fellow competitor and Mike and Jame got a stint of driving each. Car ended up finishing strong in the race, 31st overall and 71 laps down. James and Mike did a great job and pulling back some places. Overall all a little disappointing but that’s the racing animal in me talking, but really I still had the best time driving and hanging out with some awesome humans. I did the first stint on the short track and had an absolute blast! Loved every minute and every overtake… Pukekohe Race Track, it’s still saddens me that your days are numbered and by April the race track despite all it’s history and importance in the NZ racing family will be closed. Thanks for the memories, but still such a shame… big thanks as always to 24red racing and Chris for the opportunity and Amanda for her support. cheers team.

After changing many many parts, we’re pretty sure it’s this thing that was the issue… red flag at the moment, will know more when the green flag drops

Getting excited!! Race day

Hey team, on Sunday 19th Feb, next weekend, 24Red racing has entered the mighty civic type R into the NazCar 8 hour enduro at Pukekohe. Teaming up with Chris will be Mike Satherley as of last time, new comer James Whitlock and myself to battle for probably the last time around the best circuit in NZ before they cover it in Horses and Houses. it all starts at around 9 and we’ll be running the full back straight for 4 hours and the kink for the other 4 hours. If ya kicking around come down, say hi and be part of a bit of history… we aim to make it our best race yet! See ya there.

So that’s a rap! Huge thanks to Chris and 24red racing for this opportunity and experience, it’s been sooooo awesome. Some days you have the rub of the green and some days you don’t… today did not flow to plan, slower than normal pit stop, terrible weather and a couple of unlucky safety cars meant we were on the back foot early. Still managed 4th in both the 3 and 6 hour enduro, which was still an awesome effort and so much fun. As it happens, for the series we were drawn on points for both the 3 and 6 hour for the national NaZCAR pro3 series… and on count back, looking at times, places got and what colour shoe laces we all had, we managed to come second in both campionships… fantastic event, great bunch of guys and nearly an championship, in a well used Civic and 3 guys who never raced before this… I’d be telling an untruth if I said I wasn’t a little bit disappointed, but that’s the racer in me that wants to win everything, but is been a week of perspective personally and this sits just fine! So good!!
