Natuzzi aka Benny & Good Boy - heading back to where it all began. He has retired sound and will now start his next journey back in Wingatui where he will hopefully be seen in the dressage arena - good luck to Alex Clarke who we are sure will do a wonderful job with him
Track work Tuesday 6th February, 2018
The focus this morning was on those horses heading to the weekend’s racing at Te Rapa and Counties.
Nice work was recorded by Conclusion, with trainer Paul Richards in the saddle, and a Rip Van Winkle- Mini Pearl gelding (Saxton) who galloped 800m in 48.4, the 600m in 36.0, both horses going to the line under good holds. Conclusion looks in excellent order and takes very good form into the Maiden 1200m at Counties on Sunday

The people we have met, the places he has taken us, life changing experiences, thanks for the memories.
Happy retirement my friend.
Special thanks to Bill & Sandra for being the most unbelievable owners and friends.

Trackwork from Byerley Park this morning - The Centre has a trio of nice horses entered for the G3 Eagle Technology Stakes over 1600m on Saturday including Natuzzi, Ronchi & Gravano and they all galloped pleasingly this morning.
First up was Natuzzi (Saxton) who was accompanied by Bojangles (Richards) over 1000m in 1:04.6, the last 600m in 37.5. Natuzzi was full of running at the finish of the gallop and looks to have trained on particularly well following his game win at Tauranga ten days ago.
Conclusion (Richards) pictured below worked 800m in 51.4, the 600m in 38.6 in preparation for his second race day appearance at Avondale on Thursday with Michael McNab aboard.
Natuzzi shaped up well this morning ahead of his Tauranga target.
With trainer Paul Richards in the saddle, Natuzzi galloped 1000m with stablemate Bojangles (Saxton), the pair strong throughout their work recording 1:02.7 for the trip, the final 600m in 36.6. Natuzzi put in his usual competitive run when resuming at Rotorua and is entered for the Open 1400m at Tauranga. Bojangles opened his campaign with a chequered run for sixth and looks to be a quick improver in the R65 on Saturday. Both to be ridden by Doni Prastiyou.
Conclusion ran a great first up second placing at Avondale last Friday, look out for him back at Avondale on the 30th November & Black Quail ran well on Singapore Gold Cup Day, in the pink and black, for owners Bill & Sandra Duell & Paul & Leanne Richards
Conclusion (Richards) and Bojangles (Saxton) galloped 800m together in 52.0, the 600m in 37.0. Conclusion
makes his raceday debut at Avondale from Paul Richards stable, the horse winning a trial back in May.
Natuzzi (Richards) ran 800m in 50.6, the 600m in 37.4.
Natuzzi & Bojangles both head to Tauranga on the 18th of November.

Natuzzi and Beyond Dispute prepared pleasingly this morning ahead of their Rotorua assignments.
With trainer Paul Richards in the saddle, Natuzzi galloped with stablemate Bojangles (Saxton) returning a time of 52.5 for 800m, coming home in 37.0 for the 600m. Natuzzi makes his first appearance this season in the Wfa 1200m at Rotorua on Saturday following a couple of nice 1000m trial runs, the latest at Whangarei a week ago.
Trackwork from Byerley Park this morning. Evergreen Natuzzi (Saxton) and Bojangles (Richards) produced smart work when galloping 1000m in 1:03.0, the last 600m in 36.2. Both may run at Ellerslie with Doni Prastiyou to ride but trainer Paul Richards reluctant to race either horse in very testing conditions.
