For many businesses, solar makes a lot of sense, but the upfront cost can sometimes slow the decision down.
Our Auckland Adviser, Matt Fogarty - Finance New Zealand, has been working with KiwEV to help their customers access competitive and flexible funding options for business solar solutions.
At Finance New Zealand, we have access to specialist lenders who understand the solar space and can provide funding options that work around the needs of the business.
For solar suppliers, this can help make the conversation easier. It gives customers a clearer way to move ahead with a project, while managing cashflow along the way.
And while this example is in the solar space, we also work with suppliers across a wide range of industries to help make finance part of the customer offer.
If your business supplies equipment, technology or asset based solutions, we can help give your customers more ways to say YES.

What is your business finance really tied to?
Before proceeding with funding, it pays to look beyond the approval and ask the right questions.
• Future flexibility: Will this structure make it harder to borrow again later?
• Security: Is the security being requested appropriate for the funding provided?
• Terms: Is the loan term matched to the purpose of the funding, the asset, and your cashflow?
• Guarantees: Are the guarantees fair, necessary, and limited where possible?
• Cashflow: Do the repayments work with how your business actually operates?
At Finance New Zealand, we look at the full picture before recommending a funding pathway.
That may mean finding a lender with the right appetite, reshaping the request, using business assets as security where appropriate, splitting funding across multiple lenders, reworking existing lending, or adding facilities to create breathing room.
Working with us gives you access to multiple finance pathways, while keeping one dedicated adviser as your point of contact.
If you have a finance request coming up, or would like to review whether your current lending is structured in the right way, get in touch with our team today.

Using property as security for business lending? It pays to check your options.
When business finance is needed, property security is often seen as the default by business bankers.
But depending on your situation, existing business assets may be able to support the funding instead.
Our advisers compare options across bank and non-bank lenders, helping you understand what security is actually required and what structure may work best for your situation.
Before offering property as security, or if your existing bank is holding more security than you feel they need, speak with your local Finance New Zealand adviser about the security options available for your business finance. 👉https://financenz.co.nz/team

Our Northland adviser, Andrew Partington, is proud to support Cambridge-based pro jet ski racer Noah Skipps as he takes on the IHRA Pro Watercross Series on the international stage.
Noah kicked off the season with a podium finish, placing 3rd at Round 1 in St Pete, Florida, followed by a strong 5th place at Round 2 in New Orleans. He now sits 4th overall in the five-round series, with Round 3 set for Missouri in June, a venue known for its big water and challenging conditions.
Noah’s ability to read the water and handle rough chop has become one of his real strengths, and he’ll be aiming for another podium result as he takes on Missouri.
Andrew and the wider Finance New Zealand team wish Noah the very best of luck and look forward to following his progress.

Heartland Group Holdings’ latest trading update shows motor finance returning to growth, with EV lending also gaining real momentum. But the same update also points to what many operators already know: fuel costs, cashflow pressure and lender scrutiny are still very real.
For businesses considering a vehicle, truck, machinery or fleet upgrade, the conversation is not just about getting finance approved. It is about finding the right structure, the right lender and repayment terms that make sense for the way your business actually earns.
Heartland Bank is a key funding partner for Finance New Zealand, with particular strengths in the light vehicle and transport space. Through Finance New Zealand, businesses can compare options from Heartland alongside main banks, specialist asset finance providers and transport lenders.
