**Here's some important news from the team regarding the future of Swing Out Central Ponsonby.**
This coming Thursday night (August 21st) will be the last classes for the venue (and the school).
Thank-you very much for the huge support of anyone who has ever attended a SoC class. You all are the only reason that any of us has ever taught any swing class.
Thanks to everyone who has worked on the door, helped out in general, or taught classes in the past.
A special thanks to Imogen and David for all of the behind-the-scenes work that we never see!
Your current teaching team - Lizzie, Wayne, Alison and Richard - will still be around the lindy hop scene so keep an eye out for us.
If you still want to learn and dance lindy hop, I'll comment some resources you can use to keep learning and dancing.

Level 1 we learned hand-to-hand charleston and how to get into it from side-by-side.
Level 2 we played around with send-outs and yo-yos, working on our momentum, catching to closed or keeping going to open, and trying out different hand connections.
Level 1 we continued with side-by-side charleston, this time learning skip-ups, as well as skip-up with a change of direction.
Level 1 new block and new steps. This time we covered some side by side charleston, along with some extra kicks forward + walks back, and hovers/repeater kicks.
Level 2 we practiced our reverse swingouts as well as a 6 count left side pass and reverse circle.
Level 1 for the last class of the block we practiced our swingouts and learned outside turn and inside turn variations.
