Cobra: This all high-modulus uni-directional carbon honeycomb core racing shell paired with WinTech’s state of the art parabolic carbon bow wing riggers offers amongst the highest stiffness and performance on the market.
Cobra FLX: Building on WinTech’s industry defining Klaus Filter hull shape, the FLX is an elite hull design optimised for high stroke rates (35+spm). This hull shape has a shorter, narrower and deeper hull shape resulting in a reduced wetted surface area with less hydrodynamic stability than the standard hull shape, however is quicker at higher stroke rates. The reduction in drag increases velocity for the same power output.

Tadhg catches up with us about his experience using WinTech’s newest FLX hull shape.
FLX: By engineering a shorter, narrower and deeper hull shape a reduced wetted surface area can be achieved resulting in a reduction in drag increasing velocity for the same power output. The sustained higher stroke rates over 2k (35-40spm) today’s high performance athletes achieve are where the real advantages of this hull shape are realised.
