This tournament was a valuable preparation event leading into the North Island Team Champs at the end of May.

A fantastic performance from Bruce, taking out 1st Place in A Grade 🥇and well done to Jerry for finishing Equal 3rd in C Grade 👏

Also well done to fellow Manurewa players Graham Duthrie, Luke Atchinson, Joseph Pennaligan, and Taran Chohan for competing in the tournament and gaining valuable match experience ahead of the North Island Team Champs.

Outstanding performance by Matthew Britz at ITTF World Para Challenger São Paulo! 🔥

Facing home crowd favourite and Class 7 World No. 5 Paulo Salmin, Matt showed great composure to claim a strong 3–1 victory.

He’s now through to the quarterfinals facing Claudio Bahamondes (World #6) from Chile —keep it going, Matt! 💪

Congratulations Matthew Britz! What a performance at ITTF World Para Challenger Sao Paulo.
Matt was 0-2 down but came back stronger, winning 3-2 against world #12 Michal Deigsler from Poland.
Matt has also won 3-0 against Pedro Martins from Brazil and straight to the round 16.

Update from ITTF World Para Futures Santiago, 18-20 April 🇨🇱🏓

A big day for our New Zealand team

Paralympian #230 Matthew Britz showed real character. After a tough 2–3 opening loss to Edgar Diaz Paez (Venezuela), he bounced back with a 3–2 win over World No. 19 Sam Gustafsson (Sweden), followed by a strong 3–1 victory against Daniel Mauricio Sanabria Martinez (Colombia) to finish second in his group and move into the quarter finals 💥

Timothy Johnson faced a tough draw against World No. 4 and World No. 17. While the results did not go his way, he showed great fight in just his second international tournament, gaining valuable experience for the future

Proud of both athletes for how they stepped up and represented New Zealand 👏
