Our brilliant PaperMoon MBTC Quiz Night was lots of fun with prizes, dressups and theming. The Sleighers were victorious winning the ultimate Paper Moon, Mairangi Bay prize. Thanks to everyone who supported our major fundraising event. Thank you PaperMoon and Bay’s Barber in Mairangi Bay Village for their valued contributions and Kirsten, Committee Chair for additional prizes.

MBTC = Mairangi Bay Tennis Club and/or Mission Bay Tennis Club, either way - it's very appropriately named!

Congratulations to our MBTC juniors who excelled recently in several North Shore tournaments.
At the College Sport Champ of Champs Aviva Kurtovic won Gold and Katya Horrocks Silver in the Intermediate Girls Singles. Jack Yan won Gold in the Junior Boys Doubles with his partner Hunter Pang.
At the Auckland Secondary Schools’ Tennis Championships Emily Chen and Lucy Chang won the Junior Girls’ doubles. Lucy also won the singles championship. Lucy’s impressive form has earnt her selection for the New Zealand U14 team.
Kristin’s Premier Girls’ team were crowned the A2 Auckland Secondary Schools’ champions. The team consisted of several MBTC junior players Jessica O’Malley, Lucy Chang & Emily Chen coached by MBTC Justin O’Malley. They now qualify for the top 8 finals!
We are so incredibly proud of our junior players.

Lots of fun at our Easter midweek tournament today. Along with the hotcross buns, dress ups, prizes and raffle we did accumulate 2hrs of play!

Our mid-week committee are hosting our Easter fun tournament on Wed 22 April. $10 entry with prizes, raffle and morning tea! Hop to it, we hope to see you there!

Congratulations!! our Women’s team won the Chelsea Cup!
This is really something - it’s the most prestigious tournament in the Tennis Northern Region. The last time MBTC’s name was on the cup was over a decade ago. Massive thanks to our team Amy Gibb, Chloe Shin, Elys Ventura, Katya Horrocks, Emily Chen, Aviva Kurtovic & Lucy Chang for bringing it back home.

FINALS DAY! Juniors had a foggy start which cleared to a perfect day.
Lida ran the kitchen, Paul manned the BBQ. Players commandeered the courts, spectators had bird's eye view. Thanks to Kirsten Chair Social Committee & Coach Blair. It was an awesome day. Congratulations to all our winners. Formal announcement of our champions will be published soon.
