Another great turnout for Howick Doubles Champs, finally having a Mixed division after 10 year absence of ladies. And what a Mixed final it was, going to 5. Thanks to Mike Bradley for making the big trip south, and apologies to Mike R and Jon for the prizegiving while they were showering!

Winners were:
Mixed - Nicola Donaldson+Carl Shutt. Runner-up Heather Saies+Graham (Concrete) Randell
Mens - Jon Taylor+Mike Rothus. Runner-up Chris Jacobs+Nicholas Monaghan

Next up is PIcaboo DEF ladies 24 October, then Senior Club Champs Thursday Nov 5 and 12. Look out for that email this week.

Lastly an article about the son of 1998 Howick Club Champ (Dino Michalakis). Their family - including Nicos’ grandparents - all participated at Howick Squash around that time (and still watch our page 🤣)

2. Mens Club Champs
With Jva’lin having surgery, both agreed to bring this forward. Amazing rallies and thanks to those who came to watch these top players. Jav’lin won 3/1 but admitting it'll be tougher next year as Luke just keeps improving (and is only 17 - until Thursday!).

3. Winter interclub had two ladies teams - awesome! Natasha’s (Rally G’s) came third in their division and Hayleys (Phuffers) including Jessie, Judy, and Laurel came second in the final to North Shore, despite having the most points of the season.

4. Well done Mike Bradley and Grant Charsley winning Auckland Doubles Div 2, and Gavin Gregory partnering Sarah Sellers (Henderson) to win Div 3. Reminder to enter Howick Doubles Champs Saturday October 10th.

Look for emails/posters early October for Senior Club Champs held Thursdays November 5 and 12th.

Lastly, next tournament proper is PICABOO LADIES (18+) DEF TOURNAMENT SATURDAY OCTOBER 24th. Good entries so far but we need more!!
