Happy Friday everyone! We have a few updates to share with you...

As some of you will have seen, we have had to close the Glenfield venue for the rest of 2020. We will see what the new year brings for Lindy Hop on the North Shore!

Also, we are going to have to delay the start of the next block at Birkenhead, until we have heard the govt announcement next week and things continue to settle with Covid.

We will make another post confirming when this block at Birkenhead will happen, stay in the loop with us and the venue pages so you don't miss out! (we are running out of words for the postponed picture 😅)

Remember to get in touch with us at [email protected] to let us know if you would like a refund on the last block or if you would like to transfer your payment to the next available block.

Afternoon everyone, we hope you are all keeping well in level 3! Following the latest announcement, unfortunately the rest of this block is cancelled :(

We are keeping are fingers and toes crossed that we can all dance safely together again soon!

If you did pay for the block, please email us at [email protected] and we will refund the classes you'll miss, or to transfer your credit to another block.

We hope you're all coping with the second wave of lock down okay! Based on tonight's announcement, all classes over the next 2 weeks are cancelled (including classes on Thursday 27th August).

We were enjoying dancing again with you all so much, thank you for everyone that has come along! And we hope that it's not long until we can dance together again.

If you have paid for the full block, don't worry! We will make sure you get what you paid for by transferring some of this payment over to the next block, or through a partial refund. If you would like to arrange this please email [email protected]

Evening folks! Due to the swift move back into Level 3 from tomorrow, the rest of the week's classes will be cancelled (sorry to all who attend the Parnell, Ponsonby and Birkenhead venues!). At this stage we have just cancelled classes for this week but please keep an eye on the page for an update next week!

We're finally back to dancing!

It's finally time to dance!

Swing Out Central - Mt Eden leads us off from the 22nd of June with TWO all new Open Level classes:
- Learn to dance Solo Jazz! Open level classes
- Learn to Tap Dance! Open level classes

We're so excited to bring these classes to you, Tap and Solo Jazz are incredibly fun, and we've got the amazing Ana and Jesse to share what they know with you!

Swing Out Central - Ponsonby gets us going on the 25th of June with level 1 and 2 Lindy Hop at an all new venue:

Come and join Imogen and David at our great new spot on Jervois Road (replacing the Freemans Bay Community Centre)! Check the FB event for all the location details!

Meanwhile, over the bridge at Gin Mill Swing - Birkenhead, the 25th also sees Bridget and Matt shuffle in with your Balboa fix:

We will have some more classes / venues opening up in a few weeks, so stay tuned for updates. We can't wait to see you!

Our hearts go out to the people who are fighting for their right to be heard, their right to be recognised for their suffering, and their rights not to be murdered in the streets by the people who are supposed to serve and protect.

We are very far away from the suffering of black people in America, and yet we have benefited so much from the music, dance and culture they created.

Please do whatever you can to stand in solidarity with these people who have been oppressed since before our favourite dances were even born.

Hi everyone, hope you're safe and well!

Although we're itching to get back into dancing, and we miss you all, we know the next few weeks are crucial in keeping COVID19 down.

Our plan at the moment is that we may begin some classes again from the 15th of June. Another four weeks is a long time to wait, but it's worth it to keep everyone safe. We'll give you more details as soon as we can.
