Life Membership - Nigel Bradley
A special moment at our 2026 CMRRA Prizegiving was the awarding of Life Membership to Nigel Bradley.
Nigel joined the association in 1992 and, 35 years later, is still actively refereeing. He quickly worked his way through the ranks, becoming a First-Class Referee in the late 1990s officiating 12 First Class matches, including 6 NPC matches. Throughout his career, Nigel has consistently been one of the association's leading referees, spending 10 years as our No. 1 ranked referee. He also holds the New Zealand record for the most Premier matches refereed, with an incredible 376 games and counting. He has also refereed 5 Premier Finals throughout his time.
Away from the field, Nigel's contribution has been just as significant. He has served on the committee for 23 years, including 10 years as Chairman, where he worked tirelessly to support and grow the association. He has also been a key figure in building and maintaining relationships with our valued sponsors.
Nigel's dedication, commitment, and passion for refereeing have had a huge impact on CMRRA over many years. Whether on the field, on the committee, or supporting fellow referees, he has always given his time and energy to make the association stronger.
