OKF online meeting 💻

Yesterday KNZ President, Grant Holland, attended an online meeting with the other Oceania Presidents. The meeting was hosted by OKF President, Michael Kassis, and also attended by AKF CEO, Ian Baskin.

Key points:
- OKF want to calendar OKF championships 1 year in advance
- 2022 Oceania championships locked in for 2-4 June in New Caledonia. Should New Caledonia be a 'no go' by 31 March 2022 then plan B backup is Sydney NSW Australia same dates.
- 2022 OKF championships will be a full championships ie: juniors and seniors.
- 2023 OKF Senior only championships. This event becomes Senior world championships selection for Oceania countries under WKF's new selection structure. ( communicated recently )
- 2023 OKF Senior only championships to run alongside NZ Open in April 2023 Date TBC in NZ. We already have an event running for the NZ Open purposes . Other benefits may be more referees come to NZ for the event, more senior entries, more interest from our broadcast partners Sky TV for an international event. etc etc.
- 2024 OKF Championships full junior and senior event. Date and location TBC.

Fushin Ryu had a team of 45 students competing at the New Zealand Cup this weekend, covering all age divisons. The team spirit and pride for this Fushin Ryu family is amazing 🤩 🙌
