We’d like to share an important update with our hapori. Due to a significant decline in funding and ongoing pressure on our kai providers, we are unfortunately not able to provide kai support in the way we usually would.
At this time, we have a limited stock of kai boxes and have had to make the difficult decision to restrict what we can offer.
Currently, we are only able to offer kai boxes on Mondays and Fridays, with a limited number available each day.
Wednesday kai support will only be available depending on what we receive from Kiwi Harvest, and there is no guarantee that kai will be available on that day.
This has not been an easy decision, as manaakitanga is at the heart of everything we do. Please know this does not change the aroha we have for our whānau — it simply reflects the challenges we are facing with limited resources at this time.
If you see signage or are unfortunately turned away, we ask for your understanding and kindness. We truly appreciate your patience as we navigate this period.
For those who may need support, here are some alternative services available:
Citizens Advice Bureau Glen Innes Foodbank
Emergency food assistance for residents of Glen Innes and Pt England
🕒 Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
📍 100 Line Road, Glen Innes
📌 Please bring proof of identity and address
📞 09 528 3682
Auckland City Mission
Food support available by appointment only
📞 Call 0800 223 663 (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri — 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
📍 Collection from Grafton (booking required)
We remain committed to our hapori and will continue to support where we can.
Ngā mihi nui,
