Hi all.

Just a bit of an end of season post and off season update.

I really enjoyed the last season. It was a fantastic experience to race in the NZ's down in Christchurch and then the following weekend the GP here in Blenheim!

The highlight of the season would definitely have been the last race at the GP at Eastern States speedway where I got out front and managed to stay there for 15 laps and take the chequered flag!!

Eastern States put on an awesome prize giving this year! Great food and a band to finish the night off.
I came away with Season Points Champ and Stockcar Best Presented.

I was pretty happy with how my car went over the season, so it's just having a few bits and pieces done over the off season.

A massive shout out to all my fans,( young and old ), friends and family that continue to show up and support me, it's much appreciated!!

Mum and Dad, you guys are legends!!

What a weekend!!

Congratulations to the NZ Stockcar GP winners

1st Tyler Houghton
2nd Cullum Flavell
3rd Harley Rob

What an awesome 2 nights of racing at Eastern States speedway with approx 60 of the top Stockcar drivers from around NZ.

Friday night was definitely a cold one!!
There were 4 groups with the top 6 of each group going straight through to the final, with the remaining cars going through to the repercharge group to race on the Saturday night with the top 6 making the remaining final 30.

I drew grids 11, 4, and 7.
For the first race I came in 6th, the second race I came in 3rd and the last race after being spun out and ending up at the back of the pack I managed to finish up in 5th, so not too bad. It was enough to put me in 4th position in my group so that was straight through to the final!!

Saturday night, Finals night!
Definitely a lot warmer than Friday night!
First up was the Repercharge group, which was all on for the last 6 positions in the top 30.

Grid draws done, and we were ready.
I drew grids 30, 15, and pole!🤦‍♀️
After starting at the back of the pack and managing to avoid all the carnage in the first lap on turns 1 and 2 then 3 and 4 I managed to finish 22nd.
In the second heat, I was right in the middle of the group, so in the middle of all the carnage that went on in the first lap, however I managed to survive and came in at 15th. As long as I didn't go backwards, I was happy!
I was only sitting on 25 points coming into the final heat, and starting on pole, so my options were, drop a gear and disappear, or choke!!
And I managed to do the first!! There was a big pile up on turns 1 and 2, so that gave me a chance of getting more distance under my belt.
All I had to do was just drive, while being chased down by some of the fastest cars and experienced drivers for 15 laps, not 10 like normal but 15!!!🤯
And I did it!! When the white flag came down as I went past, all I had to do was just hold on for one more lap! And I did!! The chequered flag came down as I crossed the finish line in first place with the 74c of Tyler Houghton and 513r of Cullum Flavell not far behind me!.
What an absolute rush!! To start on pole and take the chequered flag with the caliber of driver and race cars behind me, on my home track was unreal!!
A massive shout out to all my supporters who were out there cheering me on, and when I came around with the chequered 🏁.
To the drivers who came up and shook my hand, for a race well driven, that was much appreciated too.
In the end I came in 10th overall in the NZ Stockcar GP, so I'm pretty happy with that.

From competing with 170 cars in Chch for the NZ Stockcar title the weekend before to competing in the NZ Stockcar GP with 60 cars in the weekend just gone, it's been awesome to race with the best out there that's for sure and it's definitely been a learning experience.

Next race meeting is this weekend in Nelson, another double nighter, with the Stockcar Summer Slam where and am paired up with the 19N of Kerry Walker. So there should be some fun to have!!

The New Zealand Stockcar champs

First of all a big Congratulations to the

What an awesome weekend and an amazing experience it was to be able to compete alongside some of the best stockcar drivers of the country!!

We were up at 4am and on the road by 5am on Friday morning, as our group's scrutineering was from 10am - 11am. So come 11pm on the Friday night when they called the race meeting, it had made for a very long day!!

There were 6 groups, approximately 170 cars in total with 80 going through to Saturday night, with around 26 - 30 cars in each group. Each group on the Friday night were to race 3 times with the top 4 of each race going straight through to the final. That left 6 spots for the top 3 cars out of the two repercharge groups which were made up of next 10 cars with the highest points after the top 4.

As racing was about to start a light but annoying rain came in to delay the start of racing. After a while it stopped and they got the track sorted, and we were away racing.

I had grids 22, 9 and 9!!
The first race I came in 14th, and got the fastest lap time for that race, and the second I came in 15th. Sadly the rain had come in again and as I was in my car waiting to go out, they called the race meeting, so that was it until Saturday.

There were still 4 groups to do their final heat races on the Saturday.
We were the second race up, the track was great, well I loved it, and I came in 3rd place!! And what a race!! So with my other 2 placing I made it into the repercharge group🙂

I was in the middle of the field for the repercharge, and got caught up in a bit of pushing and shoving on the first corner.
I finished the race, however not in the top 3!!
My goal for the weekend was to make it through to the repercharge groups as that meant you still got to race on the Saturday night in tier 2, with 3 more races.

Annoyingly as the night went on I struggled with the second corner of the track as they had Modifieds racing and they made the track black and slick which would catch me out.!🤦‍♀️
I had one DNF in the first race of tier 2, nothing major, and was back out for the last two races.

All in all I had a great weekend of racing. Definitely an awesome experience racing with 30 other cars on the track all wanting to be 1NZ!! It was pretty full on.
I thoroughly enjoyed the track and shape, just found it a bit of a challenge by the end of Saturday night, but that's all part of learning and getting more experienced and confident.

I came away with the fastest lap time in heat 1 and picked up a 3rd in heat 3, and had very minimal damage to the car, so im very happy with the weekend!!

Big thank you to Leighton, he stepped up as pitcrew for the weekend and did a fabulous job. 😃

Woodford Glen, you put on an awesome meeting, it was well run and organized.

Thanks to Jack, Troy, (who took out 1st place in tier 2,) and Moo, who live in Blenheim but race under different clubs ( I was the only E car there!! ) for your advice, support, and encouragement, you guys are awesome, and it's much appreciated.

Hi All

It's been a long time between races and posts!!

First time in the seat for a while on Saturday night and it's fair to say, it felt good!!

It was the Eastern States Stockcar open Champs on Saturday night, and it was awesome to have 29 cars on the track!.

First race I started 10th, I got caught up in some carnage a couple of times, which saw me come in 20th.
The second race I started 23rd and came in 5th and the last race I started 8th and came in 7th, which put me overall 8th out of 29. So all and all I was happy with my night of racing, and there was not too much damage to my car.

Thanks to all the away cars that turned up to race, it's definitely been awhile since there's been that many Stockcars at Eastern States!

Thanks to Eastern States for putting on a full on night of racing.

I'd also like to throw a big “ Go J Rod “ out there!! My number 1 pit crew turned our old Nissan Pulsar into a street car, and it's fair to say he was on fire!! Took the chequered flag in his first race then a 5th and 3rd. 👏

Hi All,

I hope everyone enjoyed the off season!!

I didn't manage to do any of the practices due to my car not being quite ready.

So my first time in the seat this season was at Eastern States opening night 2 weekends ago.
I finished all 3 races and was able to get a feel of the car and see if and what might need to be changed.
It was definitely good to be back in the seat and it was a good night of racing.

The second race meeting of the season for Eastern States was in the weekend and it was The Stock car state of Turmoil.

There was a field of 18 cars for the night, so it made for good racing.
First race I started 10th and came 13th,
Second race I started 2nd and came 3rd,
Third race I started 13th and came 9th.
There was a bit of fun to be had on the track so all in all it was a good night of racing.

Thanks to Eastern States for putting on a good night of racing, and congratulations to all the trophy winners.

Massive thank you to the out of town drivers who make the effort to come and race, as without you guys there would be no Stock cars racing!!

Hi all,

Long time between posts!!..... yet again!! I will endeavor to do better this coming season!😉

So it was my first season in a Stockcar, and what can I say…. Awesome!! I loved pretty much every minute of it!! It goes without saying that there were highs and lows, but that is with every sport. And there were definitely more highs than lows. The lows would have been, being rained off and the handful of technical difficulties we had throughout the season, which everyone In the Motorsport world has to deal with so we're never alone there!!
The highs, meeting new people, The Ree's tour was just amazing and also the last meeting at Eastern States, the Easter champs, where a fantastic group of people helped me secure the overall win for the night.

Prize giving time, sadly I was unable to attend as I was very lucky to be in America on holiday and Mum and Dad were stuck up at home with slips from all the rain we've had blocking parts of the road.
A big thank you to Troy Cleveland for going up and collecting my awards!!

As for my car over the off season, it's been all pulled apart, check over, a little bit done here and there, ready for the new season.

Hi all

Things have been fairly hectic on the Rees tour so I've been rather useless at keeping up with the posts so I'm going to lump Greymouth, Dunedin, Invercargill Cromwell and Christchurch into 1 big spiel!! So here goes;

Greymouth: We were meant to race on the Tuesday but due to weather, it was postponed till Wednesday, however the Greymouth track still put on an awesome feed and get together for all on the tour. We woke to a nice sunny day on the Wednesday, so racing was on!
Went alright in the first 2 heats but sadly I was put into the wall by a Greymouth car in the third heat breaking my steering axle bracket which took me out of play for the 4 heat. Greymouth then backed up Tuesday night with another good feed and get together, so a massive thank you to the Greymouth speedway team.

Thursday morning saw us up early and on our way to Dunedin through the Arthers pass to stop in Christchurch at Vortech Engineering where we mended and washed cars, so a massive thanks to Brad and the team at Vortech Engineering for fixing my car and letting us use your workshop!.
We ended up leaving Christchurch at 5:30 and arriving in Dunners about 10pm so it was a long day!!

Friday morning saw us all up and out for breakfast with my brother Jonty and his girlfriend Caitlin, they are both at Uni down there so was good to catch up with them.
Headed out to Beachlands speedway in the afternoon for another night of racing.
My first 2 races were great, did get spun out but managed to catch back up, sadly the last lap of the 3rd race i got an outside flat tyre so that saw me not finish race 3.
I did manage to pick up the Rees/Vazey Tour 2025 trophy for the most consistent, at this track, so yay!

Saturday we were up and on the road heading to Invercargill to race at Riverside speedway.
It had been raining so there was thoughts it may not go ahead, but it did.
Again my first 2 races were great I got a 7th and 8th i think, it was reverse grid for the last race and my f🤬 car wouldn't start!! 🤬 and nothing we did seem to work, so I was out!!.😭
Had a great night at the club on Saturday night and they then backed it up again on Sunday night with a night of auctions and interviewing Pete, Paul and Asher.
We spent Sunday at Jack Honeybone place cleaning cars and trying to figure out what was wrong with my car, we ended up coming to the conclusion it was the battery so we bought a new one…….
Thanks to the Honeybones for letting us use there workshop etc….

Up early again on Monday on route to Central Motor speedway in Cromwell!!
Arrived there ready to race…. And my car won't start again!! So apparently not the battery!!🤬🤦‍♀️ so over the course of the next 2 races we are doing and looking at everything possible, on the phone to important people, we had other drivers come over and help, and finally it was figured out it was a faulty switch!! So with a bit of rewiring we were back up and running for the last race of the night!! It sucked!! But at least I still got one race in!!

Had a couple of down days in Cromwell so we along with the others went to Highland park for a spot of go karting!!
I'd just like to point out that it is, non contact!!!
😂😂😂😂, a lot of fun was had thought!!

Left Cromwell Thursday for Christchurch. Stopped in at Lake Tekapo with the others and had a nice brunch. Sadly I have now become sick, as it had been going around the tour, and our lovely pit crew had picked it up as did the others we were traveling with!! So 🤦‍♀️.Once we arrived in Kaipoi mum went down and got heaps of drugs to try and help so I could race the Friday and Saturday at Woodford Glen.
Friday morning came and I felt like s**t and had a s**tty cough! So i just kept taking medicine and slept for the morning!
Headed to track in the afternoon, still struggling but determined to race as this was the last 2 nights of the tour.
Had a s**t first race as coughing while wearing a mouth guard with a helmet on is not fun!! So i pulled into middle!
Went back out for my 2nd race and managed to finished but never made it into 3rd race.
Went home and went to bed, to do it all again on Saturday!!😵‍💫
Slept again most of Saturday morning till race time.
Went out first race of the night and did ok, However 2nd race i didn't finish, so again I never made the 3rd race.
Pretty gutted to have ended the 2 week tour this way!!
Woodford Glen definitely turned on the weather for the 2 days and put on an great weekend of racing!!.

Sunday morning up early with one last mission, the home leg!!

Wow, what an incredible experience! It was at times mind blowing for me racing with up to 30 cars at a time! From all around New Zealand. Those who are from Blenheim know we struggle with numbers, Over in Nelson there's more but still nothing like what and how they raced on the tour. It was next level and although overwhelming at times, I loved it!! I just need to find a bit more confidence in myself!!
The other drivers from around the country that we met, the s**t we talked and the laughs we had were brilliant! Everyone was willing to chip in and help each other if need be. It was an awesome tour to be part of!!.

A big shout out to all the speedway tracks that hosted us and put on the feeds at the end of the night.

A massive thank you to the “Others” that we traveled with being the 88c and his Dad,the 964c the 469c, and his sister. The s**ts, giggles and p**s taking was so much fun, along with the pep talks, encouragement and help with my car, you guys are legends!!

Another legend Is Jarad, my one man pit crew! Couldn't have done it without your help.

To the Rees, Vazeys and everyone In between and behind the scenes, you guys rock! You put an amazing tour together and it was epic to be part of!! So thank you very much!!
