Our 2026 Senior Football Season has officially come to an end, and what a fantastic season it has been!

Our Senior Prizegiving was held following the final games last weekend, providing a great opportunity to celebrate the season and recognise the achievements of our players, teams and volunteers.

Congratulations to all of our 2026 Award Winners! Your commitment, effort and contribution throughout the season is something to be proud of.

A special thank you to our referees, who do an amazing job supporting Senior Football in Marlborough and provide referees for the majority of our games each week.

Our referees continue to be a real strength of our local football community, and is thanks to the commitment of Martin Fenwick, Craig Smart, Geoff Talbot and their team of referees. The referee group continues to grow each season, which is fantastic to see and a real credit to the work they are putting in.

We also want to acknowledge and thank the Clubs who provide Club Referees (CRs) throughout the season. Our CRs provide valuable support to our qualified referees when needed and help ensure that games can continue to go ahead each week. We really appreciate the time you give.

Finally, thank you to every player, coach, manager, referee, CR, volunteer, supporter and Club who has contributed to another great Senior season.

We hope you all enjoy the summer break, and we look forward to seeing everyone back out on the field for the 2027 season!

Our Junior & Youth Winter Season has officially finished for another year, and what a season it has been!

A huge congratulations to all of our players, coaches, volunteers, referees, clubs and families who have contributed throughout the season. We hope everyone has enjoyed their football and can take some time to celebrate the season and everything that has been achieved.

While our regular Winter Season has come to an end, we still have some exciting football ahead, with our some of our Regions Teams heading away to the South Island and Tasman Regional Tournaments in October. We wish all of our teams the very best and look forward to seeing them represent Marlborough!

Our Junior Prizegiving was held on Saturday following the completion of the Junior and Youth games.

Congratulations to all of our 2026 Award Winners! Your commitment, effort, attitude throughout the season have been recognised, and we are incredibly proud of you all.

Enjoy your final games, have fun, grab those last team photos and make the most of being on the field!

Most importantly, thank your Coaches and Managers! They give up their time, week after week, to make sure you get to play. Without them, there is no football. So before you leave the field today, give them a high-five, or a big THANK YOU!

Saturday 5 September — Kate Sheppard Cup Final, 1pm. Chatham Cup Final, 4pm.

The first football ever played at Christchurch's new stadium, and the first national cup finals held here since 2013. Two national finals in one afternoon, with Canterbury sides taking on Auckland's best in both.

Whatever badge is on your shirt, this is a day for Canterbury football. Get your club together, bring the family, wear your colours.

Mainland Football would like to congratulate the following players from Nelson and Marlborough who have been selected to represent our region in the Under 17 Boys Youth Southern League competition, commencing in September.

The Boys Youth Southern League provides an exciting opportunity for these young players to test themselves against quality opposition, gain valuable experience at a higher level, and further develop their skills and confidence.

Congratulations to all players selected — we look forward to following the teams progress throughout the BYSL competition.

Our Term 4 Futsal Skills Centre is back, providing players with a great opportunity to develop their skills, improve their confidence on the ball, and enjoy plenty of futsal in a fun and positive environment.
