BJC Annual General Meeting
Notice is hereby given that the club's annual general meeting will be held on Tuesday, 22nd September at 7pm at Horton Park Pavilion, Redwood St, Blenheim.

A reminder that we have an EGM tomorrow night, 9th September at 6pm being held at Fairweathers, 36 Scott St, Blenheim.

Fathers Day this weekend, so to celebrate the great man in your life, bring him into our judo session next Tuesday. He just needs sweat pants (no zips, buttons, or sharp bits) and we'll sort him out with a top. Then you can get him involved with your judo. Fun times!

South Island Championships
Well done to all participating in the South Island Champs - Solomon, Blake, Rawiri, Kingston, Hiko, Tom, Maya, . In particular great to see Blake and Kingston medaling and to see how far they've both come in the last year, even if not all the decisions were in Kingston's favour. Great effort lads. Maya medaled at only her second competition too. Fantastic.

Andy took part recently in the Nelson Judo Club closed competition recently, his first competition. Straight in at the deep end. Just graded to yellow belt. Congratulations. 👏👏

A great turnout at Nelson Judo Club on Sunday for the Central Districts Closed competition. Thanks to everyone who organised this event.
Blenheim Judo Club was there being represented by our enthusiastic judoka who put in some great fights. Attending such an event pushes people outside their regular club comfort zone, with exposure to other clubs’ techniques, experience with fighting different judoka, learning about competition mat etiquette, watching others’ throws and holddowns. Our judoka thought it a great learning experience and training, readying them for the South Islands Championships at the end of the month.
Amazing, standout performances by Solli and Tom both winning two golds each. Maya with silver and bronze, Saul and Andy also medaled. Well done and congratulations, we are very proud of you.
