TARANAKI HARD. Always a good time.
Ryders Legacy looks a Cups horse in the making 🏆
Brilliant ride from Kelly Myers and an outstanding call from Allan Sharrock to add the blinkers today.
A big group of owners on course and they’re now creating an absolute ruckus at the club 😂🍻
Onwards and upwards, team.

Ryders Legacy steps up to 1800m this Saturday in the Steel & Tube 1800m at New Plymouth. 🏇
Kelly Myers takes the ride, and we’ll need every bit of her experience from barrier 15, particularly with the short run into the first bend. From out there, I’d expect we’ll likely have to settle back and find a position.
He’s currently an $18 chance, although I wouldn’t be surprised to see that price shorten.
The 1800m is a fair step up in trip, but there are certainly reasons in his pedigree to suggest he could handle it. His broodmare sire is a Group 1 winner over 2000m, there are several Group performers over 1800–2000m through his second dam, and his third dam is an Arc winner. So while Saturday will tell us plenty, I’m looking forward to seeing him out over further.
His work leading into the race has also been encouraging. He clocked the fastest final 600m of the morning at trackwork on Tuesday, working alongside stablemate and race rival Explosive Impact ($6), and won his jumpout at Hawera last week with the addition of blinkers.
Saturday will be his first race in the blinkers, so they may help him find another gear.
Being the last race of the day, it’s difficult to predict exactly what sort of track we’ll be dealing with by then, but he heads there in good order and deserves his chance.
Looking forward to being back on course at New Plymouth, always a great time there.
Good luck to our owners and connections! 🏇

We’ve teamed up with Fanfave and Inspire Racing merch is officially here! We’re also proud to be the first New Zealand racing operation to team up with Fanfave.
If you want more dates and the respect of your peers, you should probably buy a Porsche. But you’ll still look pretty good wearing our colours. Also, up the Wahs!

Bellish Boy is back this Saturday in R2 - the Christchurch Casino 31st SI Awards Maiden at Riccarton Park.
I’m really excited to be heading back down to Christchurch. Bellish Boy is currently a very short $1.80 favourite, but the move south and quieter environment at Riccarton really seem to have done wonders for him, as we’ve seen in his two encouraging trials.
He’s always shown above-average ability, but much like his name suggests, he was very boyish early on and lacked confidence. He’s matured considerably mentally, and hopefully we’re now starting to see the horse we always thought was there.
Track conditions are probably the biggest unknown, but he’ll have one of the country’s best in Michael McNab aboard. It looks a good race for him to kick off his campaign.
I expect Bellish Boy to clear his maiden sooner rather than later. Hopefully that’s on Saturday. I did spot my younger brother Julian leading Embellish, the sire of Bellish Boy, at the stallion parade last Sunday. Perhaps an omen!
A win would be the perfect finish to what has already been a memorable August for Inspire Racing.
Good luck to our owners and connections! 🏇

27% all-time strike rate. Having fun at 100%.
A really cool glimpse into what it’s like to be an owner of Attractiveness at Rosehill Gardens. And the full rollercoaster of emotions that comes with racehorse ownership.
Video by Mel Metzke.
Attractiveness wins again! Brilliant and tough, especially considering the antics on the way to the starting gates. A blessing to share this win with so many wonderful people.
Siena Grima is a genuine rockstar talent and Will Freedman continues to build serious momentum in the Sydney metropolitan scene.
A well earned spell for our beautiful filly now, who has done us incredibly proud. Onwards and Upwards
