Professional Training / Pre-Training / Breaking and Schooling . Handy to the Cambridge Training Cen

As we settle into our first week over here in Australia, we thought we would take a moment to reflect on the past 10 years that Avoca Racing Stables has been up and running.

From all the breakers, pre trainers, jumpers, racing horses and everything in between that came through our stable we remember almost every single one of them, and boy there were many (even the ones we would almost like to forget ๐Ÿ˜†). The ones that flew through our stable without any issues, to the more challenging ones that taught us the most. But one of the best parts of this job is seeing them leave this stable as well-educated horses and becoming great horses on and off the track.

A big part of any stable is not only the horses, but the staff, turned friends, turned family. It takes a great team to come together and work as one for any of this to be possible.

Thank you to our clients, over the past 10 years, a lot of them with us from the beginning and we're sure that our work together is not over as we're still doing our honest work- just over the ditch instead.

It's been a rollercoaster for the last 10 years but Avoca thanks you for supporting us. We might be closing down shop โ€˜Avocaโ€™ but now we'll be joining team Mangalore Park in Seymour, Melbourne under the Mangalore Park establishment.

If you wish to continue to follow our progress, we'll be setting up a Webpage, Facebook and Instagram under 'Mangalore Park' which we will post on here for you to follow if you're interested โญ๏ธ

Sincerely,

Shelley Houston and Kelsey Abbott

What a morning โญ๏ธ Mokele Mbembe (James-left) enjoys a foggy morning at Cambridge Jockey Club with his mate Bro whoโ€™s been teaching trackwork to our 15yo Emily. But today they both enjoyed jumping in the cool fresh morning.

JUMPS SCHOOL 2022

What a day at Brosnan's farm for the 2022 Jumps School!

Here's a little snippet of some of the fun we had last Sunday and more to be had at the next jumps school day on Easter Sunday.

A special thanks to Peter and Jessica Brosnan for creating an opportunity for these young horses and riders to get involved in the racing industry.

Thank you ๐ŸŒŸ
