Coco and Ying and I are in the coromandel right now. Just finished a Kaimoana gathering mission whereby we banged off 76 oysters...approx $150 worth, from the rocks. A little bit of snorkeling too. Followed by a massive shucking session and gorging on oysters until they're all gone. Let's hope we're not up in the middle of the night with diarrhea. Tomorrow its off to Whangamata for the next part of our Coromandel holiday.

I've made a few surfcasting trips out to Birdlings last few weeks. But its been very hit and miss. A lot of dogfish. And I've used a range of baits... prawn mussel tuatua pilchard squid. Im kinda wondering... those ppl who make videos catching multiple gurnard and elephantfish... I wonder if they do multiple trips out there just to get 1 good day of fishing.
