Softball New Zealand is seeking two experienced and passionate individuals to join our Board, with one appointed and one elected position available.

As a Board member, you will help provide strategic leadership, robust governance, and independent oversight to support the continued growth and success of softball in New Zealand.

We are looking for people who bring a combination of governance expertise, commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and a genuine commitment to helping our sport thrive at all levels.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the future direction of softball and make a meaningful impact on our community.

A huge thank you to the clubs and families who have already stepped up and contributed to the NZCT Indoor Training Centre, your generosity is helping make this a reality for our entire softball whānau and community.
We're in the home stretch. The facility is taking shape, and we're so close to opening the doors, but there are still a few finishing touches to get across the line. If you haven't had the chance to contribute yet, or know someone who'd love to be part of this legacy, now is the perfect time.
Every donation - no matter the size - will be permanently recognised on our Donor Wall of Fame, and will go directly toward the equipment that every player, coach, and club in Canterbury will benefit from for years to come.

Softball New Zealand is proud to reappoint Wayne Small as Black Sox Team Manager for another World Cup campaign.

A born and bred Southern man, now based in Wellington and currently serving in the military, Wayne brings a wealth of leadership, discipline, and an unwavering commitment to building a strong team culture. His ability to unite and inspire those around him continues to be a key asset to the Black Sox Team environment.

We’re excited to have Smally back on board and leading the charge once again, as we begin the journey towards the WBSC 2029 Men’s Softball World Cup.

Online course - Next Level Scorer
Back by popular demand! An online opportunity to learn the craft of softball scoring with our awesome tutor Marie Byrne. The interactive session leaves plenty of room for questions throughout, whether you're new to scoring or looking to sharpen your skills.

Coach development - Performance Pathway Coach
A new opportunity targeting experienced coaches who want to dig deeper into the coaching craft. Connect with fellow coaches, share experiences, and learn from each other and our guest professionals.
Session One is an online introduction with three more sessions over the year in person.
