Bowls Hornby

It's with great sadness that we advise Dave McHardy, a long standing member of Bowls Hornby passed away today.

Dave had an interesting career for those who may not have known, being publican at Wallacetown Tavern then known as Green Rooves in Southland and working as a wool buyer with Elders.

Dave will be missed around the club.

For anyone who wishes to attend, Dave's funeral will be held at 2:30pm at Christchurch Crematorium Funeral Services, 65 Vickerys Rd on Tuesday 26th May.

We extend our congratulations to all our winners on the final day, it was a great day enjoyed by all, and we look forward to seeing everyone again next season.

Congratulations to our champion Chloe who has won the centre 1 to 2 years women’s singles . Coming back from 20-11 down to win 21-20 a huge achievement. Keep doing what your doing Chloe you are an inspiration to the club well done 🏆🙌👏😊

It is with with great sadness one of our members Dennis Levers passed away in Christchurch Hospital on Monday 16 March. His funeral will be held at Academy Funerals, 65 Main South Road on Thursday 26 March at 1 pm. Dennis loved his bowls and was always eager to get out there and play . He will be sadly missed. R.I.P Dennis ❤️
