Hi everyone.
For participants in the Trident South Island Squash Open this weekend, please note that due to the withdrawal of several players, the draw will be revised this afternoon. Revised draws will be available Wednesday morning. Thank you for your understanding. It promises to be an exciting weekend !

Our next player profile is our Mens No 2 Seed and newly crowned Oceania Mens Champion, New Zealander Elijah Thomas. Elijah took out the Oceania event in the weekend and now heads to NZ to showcase his skills on home territory. 🏆
Elijah is no stranger to South Island soils after winning the Skillzea PSA in Dunedin last year and following that as the beaten finalist to Rowan Damming in Trident Homes South Island PSA in Christchurch. Elijah will be looking to turn the tables in Temuka setting up an awesome tournament.
Still only 22 Thomas has now risen to just outside the top 100 rankings and recently made the finals at the PSA Challenger tournaments in Rotterdam and also The Hague Open.
Thomas has represented New Zealand at both senior and junior level and was third at the National Senior Championships in Tauranga last year.
