The girls were very excited to finish their last Junior tournament with 2 wins today 💛
Congratulations to you all, you can be very proud of the way you played & the commitment you have shown every day as a team. The weather elements are definitely not what we are use to. We hope you all managed to have fun, enjoyed the Netball & have taken away some great memories from the tournament.

It was a very chilly day yesterday. Though the team didn't managed a win they certainly played with lots if pride. Well done team. Good luck for the next couple of days.....

Day 1 Yr 10s lost to Columba but beat Middle Grange and Mt Aspiring and are in top 16.

Our girls arrived excited and ready to go for our 1st day of netball at the SISS netball tournament at Hagley Park. Five if the 2022 winning team returned for this years tournament ready to lead the five newbies.
Our first game was against Blue Mountain College. We started out steady with Indie Hartill-Tones driving well off the line on attack and Hannah Hopkins moving well in the circle and getting her team ahead at half time. Bella Masters slotted in nicely at GK and really made her partner work for every shot. All players got good court time and we took our first win 28-12.
Next up was Riccarton High School. Weather conditions were extremely cold and the girls took a while to settle into the game. Sophie Whittaker owned her GD bib and got tip after tip. Great team work between WD Molly Taylor and C Breanna Turnbull bringing ball through strongly for their shooter Molly Meek to finish off. Second win of the day 30-15.
As the day went on the cold really set in and we were struggling to get our bodies warm for our last game of the day against Oxford Area School. Pyper Mahuika showed her flair and as always worked well with C Neve Tacon. Libbie Hackett using her height to an advantage and strong on rebounds under the post. Another impressive win 26 -12.
Day 1 done and quick dash to the van before another icey shower came through.
Coach Tarn Mahuika is happy with the results from day 1, especially with being able to work on combinations and playing to the conditions, which was our focus today.
A couple of umpires made comments after our games of our impressive skill level at such a young age!
